I updated my Jukebox addon package today with some new graphics. Please get the newest version from the downloads section - Filename = Jukebox-Silverjuke(scrapple_07-03-08).rar

Its not really a theme per se, but an addon, so I guess it goes here.

Here is the install info:

--------------------------------------------------

1. Download silverjuke for free or purchase the registered version. Get the free version
here (check the bottom of the following link to download the demo version):

http://www.silverjuke.net/en/shop?p=silverjuke-desktop

2. Install silverjuke to c:\silverjuke (make sure to install it to this directory!)

3. Get silverjuke up and running. You can drop and drag your mp3's into the main window or just add your main mp3 directory in the options screen. It will add all coverart, or you can just goto amazon or some other site and drag and drop coverart into the window to add it. You can also download a cool jukebox skin for silverjuke on their website.

4. Download the Hyperspin Jukebox zip pack and unzip it to your root hyperspin dir (ie c:\hyperspin)

5. A file name listen.mp3 was unzipped to your root hyperspin dir.. move that file to your root silverjuke dir, ie c:\silverjuke - if you dont move it, it wont work!!!

6. doublecheck the settings.ini file for jukebox

7. add the following line to your menu.xml file in your databases/main menu folder

<system name="Jukebox" />

8. fire up hyperspin, and try her out. Check log for errors if doesnt work. It will open silverjuke jukebox and when you close silverjuke, it should kick you back to the hyperspin wheel.

I added a couple mp3 files into the menus to get you the idea of what you can do with music in a menu...

Enjoy!

Pretty simple... The log file helped out quite a bit as for as testing. Other jukebox software that people use should be pretty easy to integrate in the same fashion I would believe, but at least this one works.

I'm starting to think that I need to break down and purchase SilverJuke... I've been looking for Jukebox software, but all of the free ones just don't appear to be that good. :(

This mp3 jukebox looks awesome!

:)

I was thinking it would be very cool if themes could be made for individual albums....Imagine a Van Halen 1984 theme or a black sabbath Paranoid theme
.....or perhaps a Metal Music Theme....

I believe that in this case this jukebox isn't integrated directly within hyperspin so it would simply act as a launch point for the jukebox software itself but imagine if the mp3 player could be integrated right into the hyperspin front-end......Then the hardcore music fans could go crazy with not only theming their favorite classic video games and movies but their fav albums as well!

....especially the albums from the video game era.....and imagine playing a playlist from the mid 80s in the background while playing defender, warlords or joust......yessssssssss!

:)

I just found out about hyperspin yesterday via a video on youtube and I am blown away....I've been looking at different front-ends for 5 years on the net and hyperspin is by far the best eye candy and most flexible front-end yet!!!

Once I learn how to create a theme myself I'd love to work on a Vectrex one if someone doesn't get to it first!

please make a new thread if you need help, if you want to reference and old thread go ahead but try not to dig up old threads if you don't have to.

As for your question I am not familiar with that jukebox so I can't really help you on that one.
