Chd games

do you guys have .chd games running in your mame?
i new to .chd games

can anybody piont me to a write up on how they are to be placed in my folder to run within mame.

CHD files go into your into your mame rom folder and must be in a folder named the same as the rom you have. Ex. D:\Arcade\HyperSpin\Emulators\MAME\roms\kinst where the kinst folder is where your CHD files go for killer instinct. Alot of games require a BIOS. In a lot a cases it's the BIOS that you need not the CHD files. The BIOS go in the same folder as your roms.

so does each chd game have its own bios or is their just one bios that is used for all chd games?

Each game with have it's own rom file. Then the chd is the hard drive that the game had. So the rom file will go into your normal rom folder and then each chd needs to be in a folder of the same name as the rom.

For instance... Area 51 Site 4

Main rom:
X:\Mame\roms\a51site4.zip

Chd files:
X:\Mame\roms\a51site4\
