Another neo geo theme that I wanted to add to my MAME collection. Trying to figure out what I could add to make it more interesting. Thinking of adding some sort of destruction in the background or maybe even fire on the buildings.

Yeah, the background is too empty.

I think you could make a background from an in game snapshot of the city, in which you'd erase the scores and the monsters (see attached) and make some transformations (I do add some soft focus)

That's what I did for some of my themes, and the result is quite good (moo mesa, rodland, etc.)

Looks good. I think a destruction background would be cool maybe with animated fire, since you're a flash master. I really need to start using flash. Not to hijack this thread, but I tried to add a swf to one of my themes and it gave me a "can't import AVM2 movie". Any idea what's up with that?

yea I am definitely going to put in a cool background but I dont think I am going to use a grab from the game. I have a couple of really cool ideas that I want to play around with.

I am by now means a Flash master...not even a novice. AVM2...I think thats Actionscrip Virtual Machine 2. Whatever stuff you do in Flash, it needs to be the latest (9) because it needs to be Actionscript 3. AS2 will not work.

I use Flash mostly for simple but specifically timed animations which would not be possible with HS in its current form (thankfully as I think HS canned animations should stay relatively simple...at least until people have had some time to work with it)
