I was just wondering if anyone has tried Google Sketchup before? I happened to stumble upon it on it while looking for a new mini cab design and it is by far the easiest 3d program to use. Your also able to insert your measurements so everything can be an exact scale model.
If your looking to design your own cab and don't want to use illustrator( not that there is anything wrong with illustrator...cause it's the awesomeness of goodness) or CAD then I'm gonna suggest checking it out. I've already used it to draw my cab and I'm in the process of cutting everything out and it's all on par.
Oh yeah...and it's free :)

Awesome. If u want I can upload some photos to photobucket after work and show the design and how the cut actually turned out.

Well after getting stuck working a double shift yesterday. I managed to get time to upload the cab photos this morning so here they are. I haven't had time to work on it to much but it's coming along pretty nicely I think. I haven't decided what I'm gonna put on the sides yet, but I was thinking about some type of nuclear explosion with like a terminator type robot with half it's head missing, but who knows.

Remeber that you can search google for sketch up files. I have found some nice cab designs already drawn in 3D. Altogether nice program. But, I use CAD 8-9 hours a day, this is the only reason I have not put more time into it.
