No se si lo estas haciendo o no pero tienes que recordar que los nombres de cada image tiene que estar en el formato de "no-intro". Probablemente ya lo estas haciendo pero mejor que te digo ahorra antes de que tienes que poner un nuevo nombre a 500 archivos. jaja

Bueno, yo trabajare en hacer una tema por el systema (o a lo menos una tema basico para probarlo) Creo que tambien vamos a necesitar los boxarts y los videos. Ya tengo los videos pero estan del formato avi y con nombres de Goodset en vez de no-intro. No es el fin del mundo - puedo convertirles y poner los nuevos nombres.... solo me tarda unas horas y prefiero bajarlos si alguien ya hizo eso. Preguntare a Circo sobres estos cosas.

Hi Mikonos, thanks for making all the images your making. I just have one recommendation.

If you notice wheel images are best made with images that are wider. But obviously not all logos are made this way. So the solution is to create a smaller image and make some space on the left and right sides of the image.

All wheel images should be 400px width. If the images is tall like the air diver, mortal kombat 3, and bass masters classic then its best to make the image smaller and keep the canvas at 400px. The actuall picture might be 100px, but the cavas will be 400px or else you will have a really really big wheel image.

A second and better option for some images is to readjust the logo to be a wider logo. For example what we do sometimes is take take an images and split it up. Like your Air Diver Logo, I would take the word "Diver" and move it over to the right side of "Air" so the image then becomes a wide image instead of a tall image.

I'll try to post a couple examples of what im talking about later.

Hyper Spin doesnt not accept screenshots. You need to use videos.

Circo over at emumovies.com will complete all console and mame videos for hyperspin.

You can get access ftp on his site for $20.

ummm, you can make hyperspin use a screenshot instead. Just pop the screenshots into an unused artwork folder and then specify that artwork in the theme file

BadBoyBill and bend98, I saw than Hyperspin-fe resize wheelart, but, no problem, I can resize all logos.

Note: I checked Mame wheelart and I saw more than 300 pixel logos, for example, "Bubble Bobble".

I think than the best standar are:

- Canvas size: 400 pixels
- Logo maximun high: 200 pixeles

Yes Hyperspins resizes wheel art, but when hyperspin has to resize it makes impacts preformance of program negativitly (BAD)

hey man I say do it whatever order you want. I appreciate you doing any of them period. It does affect loading speed, but if possible maybe keep the high res version too, you know, just in case in the future someone might want them :D resolutions and pixel density are only going to climb

I think you misunderstand loading speed, high res wheel images dont do anything more. They should all be 400px, the wheel will load the same no matter what size they are, but its when you turn the wheel that you will see performance drops. Because it has to load each image, the bigger the longer the load, even if its just millisecons more, and to top it off even if the image is higher res it still reduces the size so it ends up looking the same anyways.

Anyways, thanks mikonos, I think you should do what ever images you want, just at least name them no-intro while you make them so they dont have to be renamed later.

I might add options later like themes only and add wheel images only also which would be good for console sets.

And mikonos, the examples above are exactly how they should be, you got it right on. Thanks.

I noticed that alot of the SNES and Genesis games were similar to each other. Why not use the SNES wheel art for any missing Genesis png's. That might save some time to an otherwise daunting task.

Excellent work! This is just what I was looking for.

I decided it was time to start on my Genesis wheel, so I downloaded all of these and renamed them to match the latest no-intro dat (20090311). Since -Mikonos- seems to be taking an extended break I went ahead and posted them up on the FTP server in the OtherArtwork/WheelArt directory.

-Mikonos- generated 148 graphics. 146 of those of those match the Roms in the dat. I couldn't figure out what games the other two went with. The mystery games are "Sega Classic" and "Triple Score 3 Games In 1".

When I pulled out all the Asian, European, early revisions, prototypes, etc I ended up with 731 games in my Genesis Roms directory, and I'm sure a few of the unique European versions need to be added back. So that leaves plenty of work for some other budding artist. ;-)

I've been going through the box art and I found the mystery logos. "Sega Classic" was a logo used for a number of different re-releases, such as Pat Riley Basketball and Super Monaco GP. It's not a game of it's own. The Triple Score was a combo of Super Hang On, World Championship Soccer, & Columns. I'm still not sure which ROM this corresponds to, because I can't find an appropriately named ROM in the No-Intro set. However, you wouldn't need it even if it did exist because the three games are all available individually.

No, that's not it. The logo doesn't match what -Mikonos- drew. They reissued a bunch of their games with a shrunk cover and the exact "Sega Classic" logo that he drew.

yeah there were ~700 us games. Mikonos did 150 wheels.

what about the FLV's for this set.. I havn't visited circo's ftp in a while, also all of the box art for this available ?? At least that will help, I just purchased a USB to sega adaptor from retrousb.com so Im going to spend a little time in that wheel soon enough.

There is a full set of box art for sega genesis on the ftp, courtesy of Sopht! :) And I believe there is a full set of videos on emumovies as well, I have a full set and I think that is where I got it from.

Thanks, I'll take a look at what it needs once I'm finished creating the ones missing from my setup. I added a few more games to the ftp (Curse, Dahna, Dangerous Seed).
