Biplane 4 Mame

Hi guy's n girls - Might be going nuts here but I'm looking into doing a theme for Fun Games Incs. Biplane 4 and I cannot find it in the list in mame? I have googled for information about it but cannot seem to find much about it.

Anyone know if this game is emulated in mame or not? or if it was has it been removed?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Did some digging and according to http://discrete.mameworld.info/ these older type games may never be emulated. :(


Now MAME is a marvelous and slightly miraculous program isn't it? All the arcade games in history documented and preserved as a historical document for future generations! All that is except these early Discrete Logic games, MAME emulates games at the CPU level which is difficult to do when there isn't a CPU there!

While it may be technically possible to simulate each and every circuit and document these early games in a playable fashion the huge amount of work it would take to get even one of these games up and running means that this may never happen and these games may be forgotten and that would be a great shame, though these games were primitive and simplistic they were, never the less, the first games, the pioneers, this was Genesis!

I didn't find any mame info, but I did see that this game requires 4 players - which means you'd need 8 joysticks. So even if this was emulated, I doubt anyone has a control panel that could handle it. It's nice artwork though, so it's a shame.

Cheers guy's for having a look for me and clearing this up - I guess you need 3 friends or have the ability to morph into an Octopus lol
