I saw an old thread related to this but I know most forums frown upon reviving old threads, so I started a new one.

I've just started getting into Hyperspin, so im new to it, but I have alot of experience with emulators. I've only worked with one other frontend though. I'm using Kega Fusion emulator for Sega CD. My games play perfectly outside of Hyperspin, but when I try to play them in Hyperspin Im not getting any music. Inside Hyperspin, game runs fine and I have sound effects just no music. The game in particular is Sonic CD. I'm using .cue/.bin files.

My .cue file reads as follows:

Just as a note, but I dont think it should make a difference, I own the original USA version of the game. I see that Hyperspin looks for the (PAL) version but Im assuming that this is just a matter of how the file is named. So when I made the .cue/.bin files i had to rename everything. I made sure that I also edited the .cue file in notepad so that it would now point to the right .bin file. Like I said before, game runs perfectly fine outside of Hyperspin. Me being new to Hyperspin, maybe there is something that im missing related to the frontend. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Be sure Fusion is set to open cue files and not bin files in HyperHQ.

the way I have my Sega Cd set up is:

database calls for "Sonic CD (USA)"

I have a folder named "Sonic CD (USA)"

inside that folder i have the files (usually bin/cue) that I downloaded. I do not alter anything I downloaded EXCEPT the Cue file....I rename that cue file to "Sonic CD (USA)" In Hyper HQ I point to C:/hyperspin/Sega CD for my roms. That folder would contain the folders of the rest of my roms including Sonic CD (USA). Then I make sure Hyper HQ is set to look for the "cue" extention.

If you had to create a new cue file, I would suggest finding a different rom.

hope this makes sense :)

Thanks bajaresident. That did the trick.
