I'm wondering what the differences are in the hyperlist and the no-intro dat files. Also what is the other files for in the hyperlist if someone can explain each one I would greatly appreciate it.

Also is there anything out there that has more information on the Hyperbase section. I'm not sure what it all means.

thanks,

HyperList dats are basically just filtered No-Intro dats, for only the games we have in our lists. No-Intro dats are for EVERYTHING (Japan, Europe, German, etc).

XML's are minted databases or databases that are being worked on and are the "official" naming schemes for art, themes, etc.

The Genre portion will be phased out in the next version of HyperSpin, and custom lists will be "re-worked" to match 2.0, so I wouldn't focus too much on the Genre section.

The AHK section will link to the new AHK Modules so you can select whichever module applies to you and utilize it. The soon-to-come AHK section of HyperList will be for any AHK Module you can think of and also allow online editing of your submissions (Should you submit any).

HyperBase is to art what HyperList is to databases. Just finished getting the minted xml from HyperList? Head over to HyperBase and get the wheel art, etc. :)

What I am looking to do is for mame I want most games except for adult, casino, and some others. For all other emulators I only want the games that were released in the USA. Does any of these dats just have this or how would I go about doing that.

Can you kind of explain what I do with the XML files.

Can you explain what a AHK file is.

Thanks,

HyperList -> Create a ROM List using custom filters (Must login first with your forum details).

XML Files are the "databases", they are what HyperSpin looks for when you browse to a system or attempt to run a game. They are the core of what HyperSpin tries to "run" when you make your selection.

An AHK file is a script that is compiled using AutoHotKey. HyperLaunch is really just an AutoHotKey script that executes emulators however they are needed and with whatever parameters / special features it needs to follow to run.

You really should try reading the docs section at the top of the site for better information. :)
