Hey guys,
I'm fairly new when it comes to front ends, but I have been setting up my Hyperspin cabinet over the last few weeks and it's almost done. I was hoping to use CPWizard to load up a custom controls config from the controls.dat project . While I don't have a good understanding of how the controls.dat thing works, it appears to be working more or less ok with HS. However, when I press the hotkey that laucnhs the CPWizard menu (default L), it takes a few seconds to load, which isn't a huge problem. The main problem is when I select the option to view the control overlay, it takes upwards of 10 to 15 seconds for that to show up. Am i doing something wrong? Is this normal? Can I fix it somehow?

Other important information is I have HS running as a shell in Windows XP, and CPWizard is set to run on startup of HS, and set to be minimized.

I've got a theory that it's due to the increased size of controls.dat. Headkaze is pretty good about providing support for CPWizard, perhaps you could drop him an email?

I was thinking the same thing. When I import controls.dat into the default CPWizard xml file, it creates a file that's almost 2MB. If CP Wizard has to read that file every time that could do it. If only there was a way that I could somehow remove all the games not in my roms directory, then I'd be set.
