Ok, its been there for a bit. I kept meaning to do some youtube videos showing some of the new features.

http://webmame.wikidot.com/

But webmame is a web server that sits on your arcade. It allows you to add / remove games from categories (for me, each category is for each control panel for my arcade). In the end, it adds a new emulator for each category into hyperspin. It also creates a genre for each based on a catlist.ini (and other ini files).

So once you have each category setup in hyperspin, you go to a website and you can see all the games mame has, filter them by if they have a theme, if its a clone, number of joysticks they have, number of buttons, adult, ect. Then see a webpage for each game with details... Launch the game from the webpage on your arcade machine to make sure the setup works... Then add it to a category.

Once you do that, in hyperspin, reload the emulator or select a genre and the game is there.

Anyway, I like it since 4000 games isn't useful on an arcade. I want 500 of the games I play, and the ability to add another one quickly.

future plans. I want to create some css files that make the screens work well on an iphone and android. I have the genres for 2.0 done, but obviously not tested... I might ship with some real css files so the webpages look better (currently all are tagged so you can easily make the webpages look like your own based similarly to the standards from cssgarden.com...)...

Could you post a video of it in action? Sounds interesting

Interesting. Sounds a lot like my side project (HyperManager), but specifically for MAME. :)
