With the ever increasing amount of systems on our main menu wheel, it's getting rather daunting to sort through and find the system we want. I would really like the ability to create sets of systems to shrink the main menu wheel down.

For instance, from the main wheel I would select Nintendo, then I would be presented with a wheel with all the nintendo systems in it. Another example would have a main menu wheel with decade choices. You select 80's and are presented with all the systems from that decade.

I second this! It would be a very useful feature.

Hey djvj, I know this feature would be loved to have, I am way to far into the new version to add this kind of functionality , but here are 2 things about HS 2.0 that will make life easier for you:

1. The new search option lets you search years or decades, manufacturers and names. So you could type 198 and it will bring up all 80's games. Or 1986 will bring up all 1986 games.

2. The new genre system doesnt use external files, so if you work with your main xml and make up your own genres for a subset of games you could. Like NES black box games, you could label all those games with that name and it will auto create your genre for you.

BBB, that's too bad, I wasn't sure how far along you were. The problem with your suggestions, I would lose functionality with those methods.

1. If I search 1985, it would it show all games from all systems for 1985? That would be a huge list. Or does it only display results for the current wheel you are in?

2. If I waste the genre tag to system name, rather then the real genre, then I wouldn't be able to delve deeper into genre wheels. Like if GameA has a genre of Gameboy, it would no longer use it's real genre, Action. So if I want my wheel structure to look like this:
Nintendo -> Gameboy -> Action Games -> GameA through GameZ, this wouldn't be possible right?

If I can only use Gameboy then the structure would look like this:

Nintendo -> Gameboy -> GameA through GameZ
