It seems like the major limitation of this great looking FE is that there must be Themes and Wheel Images for ALL games to maintain its look and even ease of functionality.

With the thousands of MAME games out there it seems like this will always be an ongoing pursuit.

So for the many games which have no beautifully created themes yet why not create a generic theme template which takes advantage of the Artwork Already existing for at least mame games.

So if there are no themes for games on a game list perhaps there should be a dynamic template which draws from existing marquee, CP, video/still snap etc of the game which the user supplies (much like a standard layout from other FE's)

This and of course the auto game name generator for the wheel.

With this in place , this FE wouldn't be so limited or dependent on HAVING to have themes for each game (which may take a long while to cover them all).

I think the themes are great and give everything to the fantastic look of Hyperspin, which is also why it is so unfortunate to not have a theme and simply a black screen when no themes exist.

This feature has already been in since day one. Check out our download section for some nice default layouts that amchine made. This really helps for games with no theme yet.

Ahhhh I must have missed those.....thanks, I've been focusing on setting up mame properly before moving onto other emulators...

I think it would be a great idea to have these type of default themes be implemented into the main program itself for each emulator.

I found the default layouts from amchine for: NeoGeo,N64, NES,& SNES are there any for MAME yet? If so could you point me to the right direction?

With all the Mame games out there it would seem like the Mame Default layout should be an important neccesity.
