I was just wondering why all the new snes themes were being created using (u) instead of (usa) in the name?

I brought a similar point up a while ago, somebody was supposed to be dealing with this stuff. Doesn't appear to be happening though.

i agree with this statement from Snes Nes and even N64 everyone i see is using u instead of USA. I think there is a way of making a batch file to fix this problem but i am not sure quiet how to do so.

No actually "u" is the goodtools way of naming. HS is created around the idea of using the no-intro "usa" naming which is still being supported and updated. The themes need to be switched to "usa" way of naming and I see that some of the themes are being correctly submitted, whereas before they were not

DAT-o-MATIC (http://datomatic.no-intro.org/?page=news&fun=datset) has most of the sets. It looks like NES and SNES is not on the new system yet. They can still be found on the older page... Here (http://www.no-intro.org/datset.htm).

I've gone and made rough database files for all the no-intro systems here
http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=758
I believe I have a "rough" snes db file in there. By rough I mean that its just converted from no-intro dat format to hyperspin db format. The list contains all games. I also have semi-refined dats included there also, where I've gone in and cleaned up some of the more obvious un-needed files and such.
I didn't do a fully finished snes because it was already being worked on by someone else.
The themes are probably being created that way as thats what alot of people have. The GoodTools were and still are pretty popular so alot of people haven't moved over to no-intro naming yet. Who ever is approving these themes should probably check and make sure that the names are correct no-intro names and not good names.
Is there an option that will auto-generate the .xml for my SNES files? If not, do I neet to name it the title of the zip file, or the file INSIDE the zip file?
(In the past I've renamed my zipped roms to "just the name", whereas I see the actual files are named funny...(i.e "Adventure Island 2.zip" contains "a_islan2.smc")
