Whats the best way to delete excess files?

for example i been trying to sync a lot of roms with my images/videos. While i may have everything matched perfectly i sometimes have an extra 30 or more images/videos that just don't do anything or should not be there.

I was hoping someone might know a 3rd party program that might compare my roms to my images and tell me what orphaned files are left so i can highlight them all and delete them.

I've been using BeyondCompare3. It does require a little configuration per session and a little setup out of the box. It's also $50 after trial, not sure if that's an issue for you.

In the end it's pretty awesome for massive compares like this.
