120 Movie Themes Released

Yes, you heard that right. I have released my movie themes. There are 120 of them! They are available to download from Circo's Emumovies ftp in the "Aabra's Movie Themes" directory. Simply download everything in that directory and read the installation instructions file. Don't worry, you won't have to install them all individually.

The entire thing is approximately 1.7 gigs. It's big but remember that there are 120 trailers in there.

This will be much slower though than Circo's ftp so only use this if you have no other choice and please help seed once you have it. (You can also seed using the files from Circo's ftp if you wish.)

I won't be able to seed the torrent forever so get it while you can!

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention in the installation instructions is that it is *highly* recommended that you edit the file Hyperspin\Settings\Settings.ini and set the attract mode "Active" to FALSE. Or at least set the time value to something very high. 5 or 6 minutes as some trailers (like The Birds) are very long. Otherwise after watching the first 30 seconds of a trailer the wheel will spin which kind of sucks if you want to watch the entire thing.

I tried to make sure they were all good movies. There are a couple exceptions to that rule of course. A couple bad movies slipped in under the radar. (Mostly influenced by my girlfriend! *cough*Sex and the City*cough*) However I've got 22 of the top 30 imdb ranked movies in there and a hell of a lot from the top 250. Lots of Alfred Hitchcock and some Stephen King for the Halloween season. I also went out and got a lot of the all time classic films like Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Sunset Boulevard, etc.

I'd be willing to personally vouch for all of these movies except.... Star Wars - The Phantom Menace (God I hated Jar Jar Binks), Sex and the City (gf), and The Little Mermaid Ariel's Beginning (gf).

The rest range from good to arguably the best movies ever made. Amelie is a fantastic movie, I don't know how well it did in the US but it was pretty popular down here in Mexico. Another great foreign film in there is City of God. (Cidade de Deus) That one's from Brazil. It's ranked 18th on imdb's chart for those who are interested.

Brazil doesn't count as Latin America? I've got Cidade de Deus in there already. :) I live in Mexico though so I'll almost certainly be doing some good Mexican movies in the future. I'm not sure which though yet - I'll have to ask my girlfriend since very few good ones have come out recently. I saw Zapata in the theater which was absolutely awful. I haven't seen Sultanes del Sur.... I'll ask my girlfriend about it. It's got a pretty low imdb rating though and some bad reviews. I'll almost certainly be doing Matando Cabos though in the near future if you haven't seen that. It's hilarious.

One feature you should use assuming English isn't your native language is VLC's subtitles option. Simply name the subtitles the same as the movie (or similar) and you can set a button to turn them on or off. I've got mine set to cycle through English subs (for my English classes... I'm a teacher), Spanish subs (for my girlfriend and Mexican friends), and no subs (when it's just me watching).

It is the best package that I have ever on internet. I would surely get those but sometimes it is better to watch movies online (http://www.moviesorb.com/) whereas it never cost you too much and downloading may take few minutes. Thanks for the great post here.
