Blocking player two from being used

Is there a way in mame to block the player two control. I would like to put some of the vertical games on my cocktail cab that were made for upright play. Since these games don't flip, i thought I would label them one player only and disable the player 2. (it stops kids from complaining how things don't work right.:dong: "teenagers, god help us")

What you can do is for each cocktail, you can change the settings so player 2 has no buttons by pressing tap and "Change key bindings for this game" and not in general.
