Character comes in zooming out, title moving in from the bottom.

made the title bit larger, made the character a bit smaller and removed the emboss.

I'm no expert, but I personally think the background is killing this theme (my opinion and you are welcome to ignore). Could you try a black or very dark background instead????

sure, ill try some different options today. Actually its the thing which was on my mind also, tried a few different things i didnt like, but ill try some more.

added a dark background. must say (besides the fact if you like it or not) it brings more contrast to the whole
