SF2 Rainbow Edition theme request

Hi,

Does anyone have themes for the rare editions of SF2? I mean: rainbow edition 1 and 2, red wave...

I would like to have this games on my cab. I have Champion edition and hyper figthing, but i love this rare editions with air balls and those things.

Weren't they all dodgy bootlegs? Is there any unique art available for them? Or even changes within the game that could be used?

I dont know mattedsmith, the game essentially is the same but the logo is rainbowed. Probably we could adap the existing SF2:CE theme changing logos or something.

I ask for it because my art skills are poor... probably someone who loves SF has any ideas.

I love SF games and also this crazy air balls mods too, thats why i want them in my cab.

According to MAWS, there's a bucket load of hacks - see below! I'll take on this challenge as I fancy having a go at reworking the SF2CE theme using the flyer art, but what would really help MiTKing is if you could go grab the logo as a screenshot, or whatever else has changed in the bootlegs you're interested in and post them here. Then I'll work out how to get them in as a delta to the theme.

OMG there are a lot of versions out there... I remembered the rainbow and red wave ones. The only diferent between normal edition and rainbow and red wave are the colors in the logo.

Probably doing some of them would be enought. I can make a screenshot of the versions that i have and post it here of course.

I love these bootlegs (Red Wave, Rainbow & I'm sure there is a Korean version.....perhaps it's the Chinese one from that list) often a game can be over in 2 seconds....whoever gets a fierce dragon punch off first fills the screen with fireballs and wins!

So have a shed load of flash fireballs and sonic booms fill the screen/fly across the screen?

Another big part of the game was being able to swap characters at will through put the game so some kind of homage to that to? Not sure how tho!

Hi, i have put on the ftp "Upload Here/mitking" the different logos you asked for, mattedsmith. Tell me if thats what you were talking about.

I have take an screenshot of the more relevant hacked versions. The others are basically the same. In fact M7 is too similar to M6 and M6 has more crazy things like uppercut with screen full of fireballs. So i wouldnt make the M7 theme.

Briefing... i would make the rainbow theme, double ko, and M6. What do you think? I dont know where to find more arts, logos and stuff of this :( Do we have enought for a theme?

jkr284, i think that your first video is not the SF2CE:Rainbow set. This sound to me like a moded version of super street fighter. And your second vid is the M6 version, and it is fucking crazy! love it!

Probably we could do something easy like the sf2:CE hyper fighting theme which is in the ftp MAME themes. Basically the theme is the same as sf2:CE but adding the text hyper fighting with some colors...

Its an idea...

After watching those videos, jkr284 is right, the characters have gotta change. I redrew the background today and animated it into place. Just working on cutting out all of the fighters from the flyers and have them whizz in and out.

MiTKiNG, I downloaded your screen grabs and will work on all the logos when the fighters are all cleaned up. They're just what I needed as a starting point.

Will put something in the main forum when I'm a bit further along with this one.
