atari 800 / atari 800xl script help

hello all

I've been trying to use mess to get atari 800 xl going, i'm using mess without any problem for atari 5200 so it's all set up working

i've based it on the atari 5200 script that's already there, and removed the -cart switch
does anyone know the exact command-line to use to launch an atari 800 floppy (atr) on mess?
i tried to find it on the internet, and found these commands: -flop / -floppydisk, but they won't work for me

If by running atari 5200 fine you mean getting several games not working then that's cool :)

I wouldn't use MESS as my main emulator for the 8-bit as well, but it's just a matter of reading the help file, everything is there that's one good thing about MESS.
The right command should be a800xl -flop1 path_to_rom

You can also use a800pal or a800 depending on what you're trying to emulate. the xl driver is still preliminary I think.

What extension of games use Brolly for 8bits? ATR,ATX,CAS or ROM

ATR mostly, I only use the other formats if there's no ATR dump.
