Duplicate roms

Hi,

Has anyone created an application which will delete duplicate roms from an xml database? If so, could I get a pointer to it? I'd be particularly interested in the ability to identify and delete roms with a 'j' or 'k' suffix.

Give me an example of what you are talking because i honesltly never saw 2 roms in the same xml !

But if you mean an application to filter a collection in goodtool format like

romname a1
romname a2
romname a3

This application will delete all duplicate file based on goodtool naming so be sure to have your backup somewhere if you want to keep your goodnaming database.

Hi,

For example, in ROMS.MAME.v0.132..(More stuff)...rar there is:
ajax.zip and ajaxj.zip. To be specific, ajaxj.zip is NOT a duplicate of
the ajax.zip rom, but IS a duplicate version of the game for Japanese
distribution. There's not much point in having both show up on the
MAME wheel (imho).

Go into HyperHQ and turn off clones. (The duplicates are called clones). You can create a custom list in hyperlist without clones also.
