Hi all,

I was wondering if Hyperspin 2.0 would be compatible with the old Hyperlaunch.ahk file. I know there is a 2.0 version of hyperlaunch out, but I really prefer the older version and was hoping that it would still be compatible with 2.0

I read somewhere that it was not a requirement but that was a while ago so not sure if that is till the case.

Honestly, why would you NOT want to use HyperLaunch 2.0? Everything about it is 100% better than the previous version. With it being based on modules; it's pretty much just drag and drop.

By default HS2.0 will be setup for HyperLaunch 2.0. At this time I don't know if you will be able to downgrade to an older version of HL.

I think that anyone that wants to stay on the current version of HL just hasn't checked out HL2.0...

From the very first page of this thread:
HyperLaunch 2.0 Released For Testing (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10709)

Current Test Version 2.07

I think HyperLaunch 2.0 is ready for initial testing. Please read carefully before using.

*Note: Using this is not required for the next HS 2.0, this is compatible with the current HS and the upcoming HS.

About: For new users. Basically HyperLaunch is a seperate game launcher for emulators and programs. HyperSpin can launch games on its own, but by enabling HyperLaunch you open up a whole new world of scripted game launching. Scripted game launching is much better because scripts can control exactly what happens during the launching of a program or game. It also controls the exiting. This is especially important for arcade cab users because we want the most professional looking system possible. Launching a game cleanly and exiting cleanly is what HyperLaunch is all about. Normal users do not have to know how all this works, you should just enable it and maybe configure a few settings for your specific needs.

every hyperlaunch, even fplaunch uses syntax:

hyperlaunch.exe "system name" "rom name"

so as long as your exe gets these values from command line and executes games, it can be anything, hyperlaunch 1.0, 2.0, fplaunch or even application written in c++ or basic and compiled
