I am at the point where i want to set up my N64 emulator and check out what games I am going to add.
I was wondering if someone could reccomend me what games would be well- playable on a 7button per player layout cabinet.
Anyone who has his N64 list finished and is willing to advise me a list of playable games?

thanks!

Anyone with some more experience with N64 games on an arcade?
Will give you 5 :sheep: in return!

Hehe, they are all cab friendly for me... I decided to add the original console controllers to my cabinet and really glad that I did. Nothing beats playing the games with the original controllers other than playing them on their real systems.

I'd say 90% of them are
as most only used the a,d,x,y,z buttons and L and R too

I have a new cab, so i don't have the experience.
But I think these titles are great for cabs:

Mario Kart
Smash Brothers
Mario Party (maybe not that comfortable to play if you have to stand in front of a cabinet for hours)
F-zero x
Diddy Kong Racing
Micro Machines 64

Maybe Mario and Zelda for the nostalgic-factor, but its not that great playing them on an arcade cab, rather then on a couch with an analog controller.

A Lot of N64 Titles support 4 Player Multiplayer, so its great for my cab, which has 4 Player Controls. Having Analog Controls is a plus if you have them. But its not necessary (I use the standart 8 ways).

Yeah, the N64 pad had a layout that's really tricky to map to most arcade sticks.
I'm not 100% on the controls but maybe :-

Asteroids Hyper 64
Excitebike 64
Gauntlet Legends
Lylat Wars
Mario Tennis
Rakuga Kids
Mischief Makers
Yoshi's Story

You can get away without analog controls, although some games are pretty much unplayable with a digital stick, there are quite a few N64 racers that are fairly playable too, maybe give a few of those a try.
Good luck.

Unfortunately Mario Tennis is plagued by emulation issues, so its quite ugly to see/play. Or did you got it to work?

Mischief Makers must be really cool on a cab because it has this arcade feel to its gameplay and design.
