For the benefit of hyper spin members who do not have FTP access could someone publish a list of what is available on the FTP site (categories, misc stuff).

As a new user to the forum I don't yet understand why I need FTP access just jet.

What will the FTP site do for my hyper spin arcade experience for my mame, nes, snes, gba, visual pinball emulators that I already have with my present setup.

Negative - we will not publish a Table of Contents for the FTP.

The FTP is only a perk that we offer to those that make a donation to keep this site running. You aren't purchasing anything and we don't owe you anything for the donation. The FTP can be disabled at any given time without notice if we feel that it's necessary.

If you want to donate to help keep this whole project alive; then donate. Don't do it for the FTP.

Dazz,

As posted on another thread I will donate after 2.0 is released.

My question is what's available on the FTP site and is there really a need for me to request access?

Thanks

Why wait until after 2.0?

The ftp is basically the same as the contents of the site with some exceptions: Instant access to WIP items such as wheel art, quite a few extras that cannot be mentioned, etc.

Some of the contents are minted sets that can be downloaded all at once rather than individually from the site based upon the best version of each theme that is available.

Nothing more need be said about what it contains now, and I doubt anything more specific will be posted. :)

Not to mention.. Gold members only have a 5 second wait time between downloads from the downloads section.

Surely the release of 2.0 is any day now or almost ready ;)

Surely the release of 2.0 is any day now or almost ready ;)Nope, 2.0 will be ready when it's ready. That could mean tomorrow, next week, next month or even next year.

You'll see more changes happening as it gets closer.

My motivation has been to evaluate if hyper spin will be used as a replacement for my existing frontend in my standup arcade, cocktail and upcoming virtual pinball machine.

The cocktail unit uses a monitor rotated 90 degree and will need themes to match. What I understand there may be suitable artwork, theme etc available in the ftp site to make hyper spin work in my cocktail table. Again I'm just a noob going thru the learning curve of what hyper spin has to offer.

For my pinball unit I understand hyper pin is available as a front end but if need be my existing front end can also do the job.

Btw what makes a good product great is support and community involvement and input... No question this product has both.

Why would you NOT use HyperPin on the pincab? I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of pincab owners use HyperPin. HyperPin pushed pincabs into the more mainstream. There is nothing else around that comes even close to HyperPin when it comes to pincabs.

Dazz,

I intend to download hyperpin and give it a try. Right now my focus has been cocktail table and standup arcade. Both of which are posted in my cabinet. My latest projects have not been posted cuz they are wip.

BTW I have donated to Hyperspin this AM, and sent PM to BBB. I hope to some day be able to contribute to this forum.
