Bonze Adventure (WIP) - bonzeadv

Greetings to the HyperSpin community! I'm currently working on a theme for "Bonze Adventure". I will upload a preview snapshot in a few hours when I get home. I've used a good quality Japanese Taito artwork for that game with some flash flame animations etc. I will update/edit this post later. I did not find this game among the requested themes or active WIP. Cheers

Greetings! Sorry for the delay, it was much more time consuming that I thought in order to mask out the Japanese Kanji characters from the artwork (see original artwork pic. below). Here is a preview of the bonzeadv WIP. theme. The artwork was upscaled by using the Alien Skin Blow-Up technology in PS and grain added in order to remove the 3D-Plastic feeling. Any feedback or comments are appreciated since this is my first HyperSpin theme and hopefully not the last. =). Cheers.

Main Logo: Elastic Bounce | (Animation Rest: None)

Bonzeadv boss-monster image from the artwork cut-out (Not-Added to the theme) this made the theme cluttered. I'll test different animations later, but I need to mask this pic better and sharpen it first.

Greetings hollywood and thanks for the comment. Is it allowed to attach a theme (direct-link) for testing purposes before it has been uploaded to hyperspin-fe.com?

PS. can an admin/moderator please edit the title of this thread? I've edited and changed the title to: "Bonze Adventure - bonzeadv(manipars_11_23_08)" but the old title is still used as default.

I'd like to see the logo traced out rather than in game art, I figure if your going to spend the time cutting an image out , its just as easy to make a full trace since thats basically what your doin anyways. So I did a quick trace to show you what I mean, and I used the white outline to go with the flyer theme. You can use this image if you want or keep the one you have, up to you.

Also you should do a 1-3 pixel smart blur on the whole image so smooth out the artifcats in the image. It will look alot cleaner.

Greetings BadBoyBill! Thank you sir for the improvement tips. The traced out title logo sure looks much better and cleaner and the white outline makes it pop-out more over the dark background. I had to use NeatImage instead of SmartBlur because SmartBlur jagged the edges of the round sun even when I used low Radius and Threshold HQ. NeatImage worked great on the overall image. I also cleaned the sun and mirrored parts from the left side to the right. Thanks again for the help. Cheers.

Greetings everyone and thanks for the comments. I added a Taito logo and changed the color scheme to match the title logo. The Taito Logo fades in together with the Sun overlay. I cleaned the background a bit and also Bonze's left hand. I think that I will skip adding an animated Bonze-Boss/Monster image to this theme because the lower bottom of the theme is constantly animated with burning flames and any other additional images or animation will make the theme cluttered and busy.

The burning flames symbolize the "Hell Stage" which comes after the "Water Stage" (River in the theme background). I am happy with the overall result so far, I'll just continue to clean up the image and artifacts in the background before submitting the theme. Thanks again for all the comments. Cheers
