This kinda reminds of an old game (that's still around now) named Graal. It was similar to Zelda - A Link To The Past, but it also allowed users to create their own map segments that could be uploaded to the main world. Very cool idea and makes for a HUGE, endless gaming session.

On the subject of huge, how about Tetris Giant (Tetris Dekaris)?
