Lots of fixes and additions in this release, see below for details. You can either do a fresh download which includes updated ini's and some new graphic files for the pinball theme.

0.6.0.2

Fixed bug where sometimes artworks act like defaults and don't animate out.

Fixed bug where if you try to start a game that doesn't have a rom, then the attract mode wouldn't reset.

Fixed bug where attract mode timer didnt seem to reset properly making the attract mode start at random times.

Fixed a lot of the preset animations that didnt accept swf files as valid files.

Fixed where if you didn't have a bounce sound for "bounce around 3D" the images wouldn't bounce.

Fixed bug where background swf animations and sound wouldn't pause on exiting menu. Reported when the Astertoids theme was made.

Fixed text gradient bug where gradient didn't fill some text.

Fixed where if on genre menu in windowed mode and lost focus and regained focus the wheel menu would restart in the background.

Fixed HS not reporting invalid xml's to the log and now gives a log message if any xml cannot be parsed.

Removed possiblity to load Actionscript 2 AVM1 Movies. You will get an error.

Added Multiple Monitor support, someone needs to test this feature.

Added lots of new background transitions, a total of 81 new possible random background animations, with some having several variations for even more unique possiblities.

Added ability to play random mp3 sound upon entering a sub menu.

Added new horizontal wheel interface, style = pin. Havent fixed the keyboard keys to switch directions, so for now its still up and down to move the wheel.

Added Nintendo 64 xml, with genres, years, manufactures.

Added NEO GEO xml, with our style genres etc... not MAME style.

***NEW INI SETTINGS***

Added new ini options(There is no patch so if updating you need to add these settings below the exe

section):

[wheel]
style = normal or pin

[pointer]
x = 512
y = 610

You can now edit the location of the pointer image, the reason for this is for the pinball wheel

interface, the image behind the wheel is a pointer replacement and needs to be user positioned.

Bill - is there a way to make the currently selected pinball wheel images smaller? The current size seems freaking huge and takes up most of the screen.

That was the point actually, I can make a setting for the image size though. We still will be creating them at 760px width regardless.

the new wheel style works for me here. Pretty cool, can't wait to see what other wheel styles you have in store for us. I can test multiple monitors tomorrow, what is it supposed to do? Show up on both or did it have issues before, I normally run multiple monitors and haven't had any issues but they are usually mirrored(the main hdtv as one screen and then one small lcd for working on it/adjusting settings so I don't have to turn on the hdtv and waste the bulb)?

Well its more just to see what it will do since I dont have two monitors, it might fill both monitors up in fullscreen mode which would actually be undesirable. And the old way might just be filling a single monitor where I can develop other apps to communicate with Hyperspin in the second monitor.

ok I'll check it out tomorrow for you, might end up being later in the day.

I read your instructions about it still requiring up down to navigate but instinctively pressed left and right and thought it was broken for a second or two lol

Thanks, the next fix will have the optional button switch and it will mess you up all over again!

I forgot to mention in the changes that I changed "Arc Grow" to "Arc" so a couple themes are messed up, particularly the Crystal Castles and the Simpsons theme, I cant reupload them right now but they will be fixed to reflect the changes.

Testing the jukebox addon now with it.... couple of things have changed in the new HS beta that impacted the jukebox from working (menu.xml is a bit different), so im gonna reupload it with the new version with the fixes in a few...

7. Add the following line to your menu.xml file in your databases/main menu folder

<system name="Jukebox" />

its now <game name="

also, im getting a weird error when silverjuke starts, everything fires up fine, but an error appears stating that "undefined" is unplayable. Unchecking the popup errors screen fixes it, but its something ill look into. Otherwise, i will reupload the fixed version.

That change went in a couple versions ago. It wasnt changed this version. Why did you have to reupload the files? The Main Menu.xml file is part of HS and people might have different variations of it so its probably best not to include that file with any user released stuff and just tell the user to add the line item to their xml.

ok I just tested it and it showed up just on the first screen and a window I put onto the second screen was visible on the second screen while hyperspin was running on the first screen.

Is it any different than the older version?

joebells

never tried it that way with the older versions I always had it in clone mode before. I still have most of the older versions next time we turn on the tv I'll test it with an older version, probably not tonight as we are going down to baltimore for some shopping and such, cheese cake factory is having a special on their cheesecake, 1.50 a piece :D and its the girlfriends birthday.

Some dual screen info.

I get the same results as joebells.

Using the new version (0.6.0.3), and having my dual monitor set up in the "extended" mode, with monitor 1 on the left and monitor 2 on the right.

1 2

I just get hyperspin on monitor 1, nothing on monitor 2.

112

With monitor 1 on the bottom and monitor 2 on the top.

2
1

monitor 1 has nothing on it but monitor 2 has hyperspin but it does not look like it resizes my monitor and it stays at 1280 x 1024.

113

Using the older version (0.6.0.1), I just get Hyperspin on monitor number 1.

Dragging this topic back up because I am running with dual monitors now. Is there a way that I can have HS run on Monitor 2? I have a wide screen monitor as monitor one, and normal 3:4 monitor on two. The issue I have is that when I run HS with fullscreen set to false it comes up in between my two monitors. Any thoughts?
