Bonk's Adventure - Arcade Version (c) 1994 Kaneko
status: RC (this post will soon be updated with more additional info)
This theme slowly transforms/gradient-fades from daylight into sunset after 5sec. like many of the in-game stages. the clouds are hovering/moving etc. This game is known in Japan as "Kyokyoku !! PC Genjin - Special Arcade Version" and in Europe as "B.C. Kid". Cheers
Preview: Pic1=start point Pic2= after 5sec.

Greetings BBB. Unfortunately not, I'm a "rookie" in the flash-animation area, I'm old school and GIF animations is all I can create =). It's a shame not to be able to use all the possibilities HS theme-engine is offering us but I'm planning to install Adobe flash very soon and hopefully the learning curve won't be quite as steep. Cheers

How are you using gif animations when I havent added support for them?

I think above he is just stating that he knows how to do gif animations and doesn't know much flash.
I think he is just using 2 different png artwork layers, both in the same position. One has the day time image and the other with the night time image. After 5 seconds the second image just fades in appearing to go night/day.

Oh I get it, thats pretty creative, I never thought of doing anything like that, morphing one pic to another.

Greetings everyone! Dazz is exactly right it's just a replica of the background fading in (pics below). The current theme-engine in HS is amazing as it is but since we are limited to 4-artwork slots I think that all HyperSpin themers should learn how to create some basic flash animations, then the possibilities will be endless and each and every theme will have a unique look to it. It should of course not be overused. Cheers

Really nice, like all of your themes. If you're pulling this off without Flash, I can't wait to see what you do when you learn Flash.

Hi mani,
I was browsing the wheel and found this theme very crisp, except the logo that looked a lil' blurry compared to the rest of the artworks, ans a bit too small.
So that's why I had a playround in 5 min with the excellent vector magic you suggested, and here is the result (png 850 px) :

Feel free to use it.
(I've myself replaced the blurry one by this one)

@ EvilDindon: Thanks mike that is much appreciated, I didn't use vector magic or any tracing on the logo back then it was only a up-scaled logo from the flyer. Your logo looks very crisp and clean, I just tested and added your logo to the artwork and wheel slot and it looks indeed excellent. Now you are starting a good trend, we definitely need to vectorize over 70% of the blurry logos in most of the older user-based themes, perhaps in a different "updated logos" thread but I think remakes would be much better. I still need to learn how to keep the color-scheme and palette intact after a logo is traced or vectorized like you guys do. I always strangely loose the color palette and depth as compared to a bitmap logo. Again thanks for the logo =) Cheers

Yeah it looks good, but I had to edit the xml to move down almost all the 4 arts, and the bonk's head was covering too much this bigger logo, so I had to move it down some more.
And yes, why not starting an "updated logo" thread.
