First, Thanks to all who helped with the creation and testing of this program. It is AWESOME!!!

Has anyone converted the AVIs from emumovies to FLVs? I have tried using the ImToo FLV converter. No luck with it though. All I get is Sound and no Video. Is there anyway to convert these files.

I am trying to get the N64 and GBA done.

Thanks

Circo has already converted all of them to flv for you, http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=440&highlight=emumovies. I would just download the torrent you'll likely save time in the long run.

Yeah I am a member of the torrent and he has a lot of great stuff. Not everything I need has been converted at this time. I have not checked it in a couple of days though, but I needed the videos for N64 and GBA to finish my FE. Thanks for the reply.

good recommendation. I noticed that ScummVM was only in .avi and I was looking for a program to convert. Works great.

I used ImTOOFLV with no problems..sorry it didn't work for you. Another free alternative would be Xvid4PSP 5.0. You can also crop the video, etc.

In FIREFOX web browser there is a ADDON called DOWNLOAD HELPER. It allows you to get most FLV files off the 'net and save them on your computer. For a VERY small amount of money, you can get their conversion thingy (convert most formats into other formats)... it has never failed me.

Hi guys, the post is very old but me for proceed i make simple batch :
Create a File text in the MP4 folder, inside

ren *mp4 *.flv
Close and save it

then rename your .txt file to mp4toflv.bat (make sure "hide extension for known file types" is uncheck in your Windows folder options) and double-clic it!!
This rename all the MP4 files to FLV and it work in Hyperspin
I can't say if the best way in term of compression and size files but for me it's fine, just a mass extension change

just to add my 2 cents i also use imToo FLV converter.
Works great, free, what more can you ask for.
you just get some message about only a certain length with the free version but for our purposes that doesn't matter.

This was already tried extensively, it will make your hyperspin install freeze at random. We now have an official video converter for download at emumovies. Also keep in mind than any set that predates July 2011 hasn't been audio corrected at the very least.

Hi,
You can have a try of Kvisoft Video to Flash converter which I have ever used. With the video converter, you can easily convert avi movies to flv, and the audio and video are in high quality. Besides, the video converter allows us to convert video of any format to flv.

the 5gb torrent is the easyest/fastest way to get all...

Do not pay forVieo converters... you can find several for free and ONLINE also...
google "online video converter"

Another good trick is to let Youtube Upload/convert them for you. After iploading you can easly redownload the flv using DownloadHelper, a nice firefox addon!

The simple answer is: dont.

1) It is easy to download FLV videos that dont reuire you to pay EmuMovies a fee. Download the free program Youtube Downloader, go to Youtube and find the videos (or HD videos if you want) of the game your video you're after. Download it. 90% of the time, it will already be in FLV format, the other 10% of the time, will usually be mp4. If its mp4, download a free program called "Prism Video File Converter Plus" that converts it all easily, and its 100% free.

Prism is also a great program for converting JPEG's and artwork to PNG format, if you dont know how to resave as PNG or whatnot. XP SP3 renames JPEGS to 20 other formats without thinking twice about it, so newer OS should too.

One other item, if your after good videos on Youtube for a particular game, keep in mind "tribute" videos people make. I got ahold of one HD tribute to Contra from there, and it tripled the coolness of the theme I created, without any other changes whatsoever! plus, it shows snippits of many games in the same group instead of just showing video of that one game which can get boring if used too much. I have some screenshots of the themes I am creating on my own, if you want to see them. Contra includes Arnold, Segourney, Contra 3 and some badass music to Contra 1 no-kill walkthrough flash video if you want to see it. my username is at yahoo email.
