View Full Version : 4DO modual won't run game

I ran the modual for 4DO and it launches the EMU fine (with xpath)

But there seems to be no image loaded. Just the emu.

Any ideas? :/

Forgot to mention, the current modual says it is vor version 1.0.2.0.
The current version of 4DO is 1.0.6.3 (https://sites.google.com/site/videogameemulation/3do). Don't know if that would make a difference requireing a modual rewrite.

4DO is updated about every other day. That is the purpose of the version numbers on the modules. I will get around to looking at the module again eventually.

But it's doing the same thing.

Since it worked for the person above, I am thinking maybe I need certain settings on in 4do. I tried on & off load last game. Other then that I don't know.

No errors, just no game image loaded. I go straight into the 3DO's core menu.

This has to be set to 1, otherwise you will get the 3DO bios screen. The script does this for you though. Something is not right on your end. Make sure this file is getting updated when you launch different games.

You did update to the new module right?

Setting it manually isn't the solution though. The module is supposed to do this for you. It worked on my end, not sure why it wouldn't for you.

Switching games works when launching from HS?

Yes... switching between games works prefectly fine.

However... i do notice sometimes the EMU doesn't go to foreground all the way, hitting escape and launching again then its fine. It seems like about every other launch

Can you elaborate a little more on your issue and the state of the emu, HS, and windows are in. Like you press enter from HS, screen goes black, HS is paused (no sound), you can hear emu, but cannot see?

When I launch a game... sometimes it launches the EMU, but the EMU does nothing, just sits in it's own blank screen. Not an HS/HL black screen. I hit esc and 4DO exits like it should. I launch a game again without leaving the 3DO esection and everything works.

This happens every few times. I think it is The EMU, unless you guys are not getting this issue.

I think I get it. So the emu is acting as though you just ran the exe and did nothing else?

Can you check to see when this happens, your freedo settings file is getting updated with the game you chose?

Yes 4DO's settings change as you intended. What you did works well.
As for when it happens... seems like when ever you choose a new game.

When it happens, looks like the HL does the black screen, and 4DO doesn't finish loading properly and just sits behind the black screen in window mode, and doesn't even show it's bios.
I can see it pressing alt+tab but when I try to select it, the black screen takes over.
