Anyone have any suggestions on how to make a Marquee? I have no clue as far as what type of paper, or if i should take it somewhere to get done, etc. Thanks!

Get it printed professionally, that way there's no ink lines or anything like that (if the printer is properly calibrated). I think my marquee was used on what they call "back lighted" paper, which feels like a plastic. Looks fantastic!

Do you remember how much it cost? And where did you go, like Kinkos?

Necrosaro,
Just my 2 cents, if you're going to go to Kinko's, make SURE they use back lighted material. Don't skimp (like I did) and have them print on any kind of regular paper. It looks great when the machine is off (and the marquee light is off), but when I fire up the machine and that light comes on, the varying thickness of the paper fiber makes it look just awful.
Not all Kinkos have this material in stock.
There are online stores like mamemarquees.com that have a great reputation.

Hey thanks for the tip EVEGames. I'm actually going to Kinko's today to get my marquee printed and was wondering what I should print it on. Now I know.

Mine was done at Mameroom I think, the price was around $30.

I had mine done at mame marquees. Awesome quality and service. Would highly recommend them.

Kinkos charges 16 dollars per square foot for backlit paper. So if its more than that it would be cheaper to go to mameroom or mamemarquees. my marquee is only 3x18 so it was cheaper at kinkos.

I am getting mine printed here in Edmonton, Canada at http://www.rayacom.com/ they charged $7.00/sq ft CDN foot for the backlit sticker or $6.00/sq ft CDN for the stickers that are seen on taxicab ads etc (lower quality).
The examples they had in the store were awesome.
They charge a minimum of $30.00 per order (approx 4sq feet) so I had my control panel and marquee in the same graphic file and got them printed as one sheet.

I was thinking about having my friend print one for me but I may just buy one premade.
