Will I see a drop in performance if I replace my standard quality vids with High quality vids?

I didn't, but it depends on what cpu your using. It takes almost nothing to run a 320x240 vid. It takes a tad bit more to run a 640x480 video with a higher bitrate. Any kind of hardware from the last couple of years shouldn't have an issue
