View Full Version : Case Sensitive?

I've noticed that file names appear to be case sensitive in 0.8.0.0, for example all "Super Mario World" will not find the wheel art if it is named "Super mario World".

Is there a reason for the change?

Im pretty sure its always been like that. The name has to match the xml, even the case.
But we would never name the wheel art that way.

Yeah I was just working with an example off the top of my head. The reason I ask is that since copying some of the wheel art over to the new version, some of the wheel art did not appear until I renamed the images. For example Raiden wheel art did not show up, i changed to a lower case r and it did. It showed up in the previous version of HS (all I did was copy the image, no rename) so there must have been a change of some type. Thanks for the answer anyway.

If you look at ANY of the consoles everything has upper case characters, dashes, parentheses and some special characters. If this stays the way it is then we will never be able to use Thems Only for anything.

Thats not it, its just that the theme names need to match the xml is all.

Everything has to match the databases, artwork, rom names, etc...

Ok, so uppercase and special characters can be used in the database? And as long as that is there then the xml, artwork, rom and everything else will work. Right?

Im pretty sure otherwise your wheel images would show up missing on consoles which they dont for me.

I have this same problem. When I loaded the themes into the new hyperspin I was missing some wheel art. Asterix for example. When I looked at the files the theme and all of the artwork was all lower case except the wheel image which had the first letter capitalized. I changed it to lower case and it worked fine. It had worked fine in the older hyperspin despite being capitalized.
