Is there any way to add an analog plunger? I was told to avoid "Mot-ion Digital and Plunger Adapter" as it was said not to be good enough due work with temperature changes. I even tried to use a spare optical mouse but it doesn't work for skill shots. Is there any kind of hardware that will work for this purpose?

NOTE: This is for Future Pinball

Can't help but reply with this ...

Hogwash.

I have now used them in many cabinets hassle-free, problem-free, and without need to recalibrate after months and months of use. 16, to be exact in our demo unit.

I wouldn't install them in my products, nor would I retail them if they weren't solid, and that's a fact.

I think the main issue people are having is with nanotech's service
Waiting months for something paid for is a bit much for some people

Best bet is to order one from the virtuapin site for a quick turnaround from payment to getting the goods.

From all reports I have heard in the last 18months is that they are all working fine with no issues once calibrated and installed correctly

So is it worth trying Digital Plunger or not? Many paply have complained about it

Once funds let me, I'm for sure taking the plunge and order one through Virtuapin.
I fiddled with all other options, but none were satisfactorily to my needs.

I can't see why anyone would use anything else.

Digital plunger, key encoder, accelerometer all-in-one, specifically designed for use with Visual Pinball and Future Pinball.

Not sure it can get better than that.

FWIW, I'll say it again ...

After installing dozens of these, I've never had a problem, nor have any of my cabinet customers ever contacted me regarding an issue with the Mot-Ion/Digital Plunger kits.

I've got about 5 or 6 local people asking about them. I'd love to be able to recommend them but without experience with the product it's really hard to. I'm planning on buying one, but it's going to have to wait till after the first of the year.

I have one, and the plunger works great. The only issue I have is not all the tables support it, and I'm not script savvy enough to modify tables and add the functionality myself. It would be awesome if someone could make a tutorial on how to do this. *cough* *cough* :D

After a good tip from BBB i have some thoughts on another approach.

How about this:

Would it work fast enough if you release, or skip counting holes ?
I like the idea of using an optical solution.

I'm pretty sure that most people complaining about the Mot-Ion kit aren't calibrating it correctly. Personally, I've only had issues with the plunger calibration. But once I figured it out (and it is pretty straight forward) it works like a charm and I have never had to touch it.

Yes, plunger support is lacking in many tables, but that's not the kits fault. Also, different tables that have support for it, may have different settings on the plunger object. Also, not the kits fault.

I love my Mot-Ion.
