Not feeling the background to much since it looks like a screenshot. The logo looks good but is it the arcade logo? 2.5 stars outta 5 on this theme.

Yeah....I think a better background would definately improve this theme. Good start already. I love Hyperspin because it makes me want to try all these obscure games. :)

Greetings mildantl! This theme will look great with a proper background; everything else looks very good except for the in-game screenshot. It would be nice if you could post more previews with different bg's, I thing that the bg that BBB posted might be too dark but it will be easier to judge with a preview. There are lots of great artwork for the new "F-Zero GX" that could be used as bg for this theme as long as all the 3d-elements are removed from it. I'll look it up. Keep us updated about the background =) Cheers

PS. the nss.c driver in MESS/MAME is extremely buggy (since v.0.70) even with all the latest WIP on this area. This game should be played on a proper SNES emu anyway since the nss/nintendo super system was just a Super Nintendo with a timer put in a cabinet.

Yah well i'll upload ethier or both when it comes to it, the mame version is kind a buggy

The area below the video looks a bit empty...

I'd also like to see what it looks with the logo stretched the other way (larger base, smaller top so that it's in the same perspective as the road).

otherwise, good job !

mildanti
12-20-2008, 09:17 AM
i'll see what i can do

mildanti
12-20-2008, 11:55 AM

Video border looks to thick, doesnt seem right. Maybe make the vid a little bigger and the border less fat.

mildanti
12-20-2008, 07:02 PM

mildanti
12-20-2008, 08:08 PM

manipars
12-21-2008, 10:19 AM
Excellent, it looks indeed much better and feels like a brand new theme when compared to the first preview, what a difference a good background and a video image border can do, also the Nintendo logo looks good in black/white and matches everything else. Good job. Cheers

Nice theme, thanks.

yah mame is werid program, it says some games i don't have yet i can still play them
i'm still waiting for them to approve these themes

when i first played this game, it was the best thing ever, your a hover car that goes 100mph ripping around tight corners hitting jumps, then the newer games commin out like FzeroX, even today i'm not a big racing game fan really don't care for racing game, but back then was awesome game, then rock and roll racing came out.

Does anyone remember Street Racer for the snes

Ive never in my life seen f zero in the arcade, howcan this be mame.

The Nintendo had games in the arcade like for the old NES games we had arcade equivalents on the Playchoice and VS. systems, they also had a Nintendo Super System equivalent for SNES games. I personally never seen one, but I guess F-Zero came on that with a handfew of other games, I think mario world might have been one but I'm not sure.
