That is because public release is not until August 6th. At that time I believe we will be offering a torrent download of HS along with any completed themes.

Im certainly counting down the minutes. :) Been lurking here for a little while waiting to try this out. I have a Gravitar cabinet waiting to become vectormame. Sadly all the vector stuff was removed before I got my paws on it, just going to use a high res flat panel for now. Gravitar has a heavily tinted bezel glass which hides the fact there is a flat panel in there.

Do you need any specific torrent software to access the public beta when it becomes available? I have been unsuccessful in the past being able to download a torrent file, either firewall issues or otherwise. Is there a recommendation on how to properly setup a computer to allow the torrent to download properly or specific software that makes the download "user friendly"?
Thanks.

You need a BitTorrent client (software) like utorrent. Then you download the torrent which is a small file with all the metadata of the shared files along with the tracker, which is basically the sever that coordinates the distribution.

So, step 1...get yourself a BitTorrent client. Step 2...download the torrent file. Step 3, open the torrent file with your BitTorrent client.

uTorrent is the easiest I've ever found. I highly recommend it. It might require you to change some settings in your router/access point/whatever, but it has all the links you need to test your connection and also has links showing virtually every accesspoint made and how to change settings for best results with uTorrent.

yeah utorrent is the easiest on windows, I also believe that it follows torrent rules and such properly.

On the mac side I'm just using azureus/vuze

Is the content not ready? Because we could get a headstart on that while we wait for the app ;)

The content is ready.. In fact everthing is availabe from here already. At least for betatester.. Minus the videos for the created themes. With one execption The main theme starter pack.

Anyway the torrent should be done soon and Id like to see if we can get it out to beta testers tonight so we will have some seeders by tommorow.

Ill be getting a hold of billy today and Im sure he will be getting with everyone else involved.

This release. (like all others) will be down to the wire.

I dont think pleasuredome is going to work for the torrent (Nintendo themes and videos doh, what do you think about in addition to the torrent, I could also host the whole shebang on the EmuMovies FTP, 500 users isn't a small drop in the bucket as far as distribution goes.

You should really give Transmission (http://www.transmissionbt.com/) a look on the Mac. It's what I use for home on my Hack-pro. Much lighter weight than VUZE and has pretty much all the features.

I’m sure I may have to some of my answers once I install HyperSpin but the Beta release says that is will include “Full NES” set. How will this include hacked games onto the wheel etc..??

By full set we mean No intro.
Minus the japenese games. And euro games... Unless it wasnt released in the US

Not sure I understand?

What I mean is we're not going to do set for goodmerged roms... Eg all the diffrent versions of the same game..
All themes and lists that will be provided will be strictly US games. And Euro if the game wasnt released in the states.

Visitor Q

Oh... =[

Does that include the same setup for all systems then? US and Euro ONLY?

What if I want to include those games to be played from the HyperSpin menu? Is there a simple way to go about doing so?

Thanks.

YES! Add the game to the database. Make sure the name in the database matches the ROM name. Make sure you have images that match the rom name.

Its very easy to add games and themes.

Is there a way to Scan a dir to do this or do I have to type them one by one into it?
