yea man...wish it worked on my 2nd gen ipod touch (requires iOS 4.3). Someone over at byoac says it uses MAME .37b. Make sure to download iExplorer. You can then drag any rom (.37b) into the docs folder for that app and play it. Obviously not all games will play well.

My iPad is hacked. Mame works well on it. My wife bought me an iCade for Christmas. It is a lot of fun. Goes well with my other arcade stuff.

Just snagged it form the web and installed it. Tried it for 2 minutes. Will have to add more roms (good ones) to it.

you must have a jail-broken Ipad than right? The web version fails to install on my Ipad 2 official firmware...

Sure does and to be honest, having an unkailbroken iDevice is beyond my comprehension but that's just me! :rofl:

I don't think there's an untethered jailbreak available (yet?) for an iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1.

Sounds like a decent enough reason to me. I've always had reliability problems once a device is jailbroken as well. Not sure if that's changed much, but since I used my devices primarily for work I can't be bothered with little idiosyncrasies that come with jailbreaking.

That being said, I did mess around with iMAME a little bit, it seems decent, it's just a shame we won't see further updates from the developer (for official iOS builds) unless they can sort it out with Apple. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's not officially a MAME "product" or the fact that it can play ROMs that gets emulators kicked from the App Store all the time.

exactly, my ipad 2 has 5.01 firmware and it cant be jail-broken :(

Good enough guys. My first gen iPad is still at 4.3.1 and I'll wait 'til IOS 5.XX gets jailbroken before updating. There is no reason for me to update for now. Apple will have to do better than the iPad 2 for me to upgrade hardware. Adding a camera and calling the device "2" is a real joke...

I upgraded from the iPad to the iPad 2, and to this day I don't know why. The A5 chip is nicer than the A4, but I bet the iPad 3 (or whatever) will have a retina class display...that'll be worth the upgrade.

FYI, the original iPhone 4 and iPad first gen (and older devices) can be jailbroken, untethered, on 5.0.1 just not the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. This was a recent development, like this week or so.

It was pulled off the iTunes app store a while ago. The only way to get it now is to jailbreak your iDevice.

There is a new version for android devices that just got released called MAME4Droid Reloaded and it has support for the 0.134u4 romset!!!!

Just downloaded MAMEXM (http://sites.google.com/site/mamexm/) for my SE Satio. apparently it's been tested on the following phones:

Nokia 5800 XM
Nokia N97
Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD)
Sony Satio
Other Symbian S60V5 devices
Nokia N8
Other Symbian ^3 devices

The latest version apparently has 'Symbian^3 compatibility options'
