I was really unhappy with the existing Captain America and The Avengers theme. So I painstakingly made an new improved version as a way to get my feet wet with theme-making. I kept the spinning shield idea, because it's a nice effect. Please let me know what you think.

In terms of process, I found a good resolution cabinet art image. However, it was riddled with jpeg artifacts as it was poorly compressed. So I repainted each character carefully. Then I cut them appart and painted in the missing sections caused by overlap and cleaned up their edges so there was no color bleed (red was going nuts in the original).

For the logo, I took the original low rez marquee, and doubled it's size and repainted the it by hand. I also painted the big shield instead of the if-y photographic one in the old theme.

I wanted to have a couple more artwork layers to bring each avenger in on their own, but such is life.

This is my first theme. Kudos on making them so easy to construct. Though the XY in center of the image really threw me for a loop initially. I'd make it top left corner in the future if possible. The math is annoying if you do the XML by hand. hehehe...

All in all about 8-12 hours of work I'd say. Hope you all enjoy it.

Greetings Dranore! Very nice theme, a slightly larger character artworks and also larger title logo would look even better. I was also unhappy with the existing userbased captaven theme so I created my own a few weeks ago but I never released it since it was not release-worthy, just a plain and simple theme for my personal use (screenshot below). Good job on the theme, I'm looking forward to the upgrade. Cheers

Upper left registration points are something you should try to not get used to with this FE, it will always be in the center due to it being animated, its alot easier to grasp than the upper left. Theres a whole post on why this is but lemme just leave you with this example on why it is and I'll let the animation do the talking

Also here are a couple examples to show the difference.

Example2 (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/examples/ex2/RegExample2.html)

The theme uploaded by Dranore appears to be broken. I tried to check it out to review and it wouldn't unzip for me. Can you reupload?

The download on this file contained several extra and un-necessary files. It was also located in a sub-folder and contained another folder as well. I have removed the files and cleaned up the download. A new file has been uploaded as well as I have added an image to the download as well.

Nice theme!

Next time use HyperTheme to create and export your theme to avoid the un-necessary files.

Mani - Yours is nice as well... You should go ahead and create a new thread for it and upload it.

Sorry about the difficulty, I'll try to be more careful next time I construct a Theme. Though until Hypertheme as an "Edit" capability, I don't see myself using it. My apologies again. The extra files probably came from the fact I made them on a Mac and there are hidden files that become visible on PC's. Same happens vice-versa interestingly. Anyways. I'll be more careful next time. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Yeah, the files that I removed were OSX related files. I'm not sure if those would have caused issues or not, but I removed them just in case. I totally agree about the edit feature in HyperTheme... I've found myself several times today wanting to edit an existing theme, but just had to re-create them or manually edit the theme file instead.

This theme is excellent and looks very good running.
