You can run nearly any Emulator you like, you will have to create a system theme for it though, I dont believe one exists

Please friend, you can tell me the config in HyperHQ or command lines for this emulator please?

I dont run this emulator
Have you tried setting it up yet?
I'd assume you'd change your final burn ini to something like the below

[exe info]
path = C:\final burn\
rompath = C:\final burn\roms
userompath = false
exe = fba.exe
romextension = zip
parameters =
searchsubfolders = false
pcgame = false
winstate = HIDDEN
hyperlaunch = false

[themes]
themes_only = false
animate_out_default = false

Thanks, but i have the same,

[exe info]
path = C:\hyperspin\emulators\fb alpha\fbaa.exe
rompath = C:\hyperspin\emulators\fb alpha\roms
userompath = false (i change to "true" but dont change nothing)
exe = fbaa.exe
romextension = zip
parameters =
searchsubfolders = false
pcgame = false
winstate = HIDDEN (i change to "MAXIMIZED" but dont change nothing)
hyperlaunch = false

[themes]
themes_only = false
animate_out_default = false

I think my problem is with hyperhq configuration...

The info above is what HyperHQ inputs into the settings file for that system. HyperHQ is just a graphical interface that edits the .ini files for your systems. So the info in the [exe info] and HyperHQ should show the same thing.

Did you create ALL of the necessary folders? This includes setting up the Settings file, Media and Database files.

Are you getting an error response when launching? If possible please post the contents of your log.txt file located in your HyperSpin folder.

I kinda have is woking on my hyperspin. I mean kinda of because it wont launch a game I am only able to get it to open Final burn then I can choose a game to play. Also if I try to exit out of Final burn Hyperspin locks up. I had to download a launch program from this site http://dragonking.arcadecontrols.com/static.php?page=wrapperdownload. Don't foret to input information into the launch cfg file to match your settings on your computer. But this is what I have

When you download the file from the dragon king website you will have three files you will be only concerned about the wrappers folder. Put the contents of the folder into you final burn folder were the final burn exe is located. Next open the Iconfig file with notepad and make some changes. Make sure you put the name of the executable in-between the handles like below. My executable is fba.exe so you type fba like below.
{handles}
fba
null
{/handles}

Then towards the bottom you will see this
#finally put the name of the emulator you wish to launch immediately following this comment
exe=fba.exe

fba.exe is the name of my executable. And that's it. Here is a copy of my Iconfig

#this is a config file for the launcher wrapper program
#turn on wordwrap for best viewing results

#put the two titles of the emu's window following these comments in the "handles" brackets
# number 1 should be the caption of the emu at ilde
# number 2 is optional and is the caption of the emu in full screen mode with a game running (using ctrl-alt-delete while running a game is the best way to determine this
# please fill in number 2 if possible as it adds to the launchers stability and efficiency. If it's non-standard (some emus tack on the game name making each instance have a diff caption) put a "null" on the line following the first entry.

{handles}
fba
null
{/handles}

#enter the keypress sequence to get the emu to bring up it's gamelist and highlight the first game
# These are NOT ascii codes but rather vb scancode constants
# Check your vb documentation for a complete list of these constants or use the included keycode finder program.
# Please note that you must simulate the down press and the release of each key.
# To press multiple keys simultaneously simply put all of the down presses and follow by the releases rather than the normal method in which you put the /down followed by the /up immediately

In HyperHQ you see a command line preview, when you do your setup. I want to know whats getting passed to the command line when you press enter on trying to start a game.

It is important for that part to be correct and running outside of HS fine first, then I can work with you on what settings to put into HQ or your ini file manually.

Thanks.

Ok,
I understand.
Have you tried CPS3 emu.. It runs good on old hardware and is command line friendly. Works with HS without loaders or wrappers.

http://nebula.emulatronia.com/descargas.php

I looked into FB and FBEVO in the past and they are not CLI friendly. This could explain all the frustration.

Ok guys here is the deal.
HS wants to add the .zip file extention at the end. Final burn doesnt like that. Even when removing the ZIP file info from the settings file it still adds the "."

Anyway I edited the hyperlaunch app for you. It takes the place of MAME. You can decrypt the EXE if you want to add it in as a seprate system.

Obviously you will have to edit your paths. This wasnt too bad actually.

If you have issues using the build you have the version of final burn I used is located here.
http://www.barryharris.me.uk/files/fba_029701.zip

Edit the Settings>MAME.ini file to look like this.
[exe info]
path = C:\Documents and Settings\home\Desktop\fba_029701\
rompath = C:\Documents and Settings\home\Desktop\fba_029701\roms\
userompath = false
exe = fba.exe
romextension = zip
parameters =
searchsubfolders = false
pcgame = false
winstate = HIDDEN
hyperlaunch = true

Download this version of Hyperlaunch and place it in the root directory (where hyperspin is located)

EDIT:::: THIS REPLACES MAME, I REPEAT THIS REPLACES MAME. IF you tried to add FBA as its own system edit the AHK script yourself I posted what you need to make it look like below.

If you want to add the system your self seprate from mame add this to the AHK file.
;*************************************FBA********* *****************************

else if (systemName = "FBA" && executable = "fba.exe")
{
hideDesktop()
Hotkey, %exitEmulatorKey%, CloseProcess
RunWait, %executable% "%romName%", %emuPath%, Hide UseErrorLevel
}

you need some serious help.
First off youdid not download the EXE I attached as at this time it says "0" views.
Also Capcom is not a "game name" So I can only assume you tried adding this in other ways incorrectly. FBA is supported in the attached hyperlaunch in my above post.

If you want to add the system your self seprate from mame add this to the AHK file.
;*************************************FBA********* *****************************

else if (systemName = "FBA" && executable = "fba.exe")
{
hideDesktop()
Hotkey, %exitEmulatorKey%, CloseProcess
RunWait, %executable% "%romName%", %emuPath%, Hide UseErrorLevel
}

Of course then you would need a seprate database xml,settings ini and need supporting art and add the systemname to the main menu xml.

If you have no idea what I am talking about it is ok. Just replace edit the MAME.ini like I said and use the right version of hyperlaunch.

I'm not sure why it says 0 views for you. I downloaded the attached file that you put on you post. I created an ini file called Capcom awhile ago when I was trying to set everything up. So I have folders called Capcom in the media section and database section. That's the only thing that I could think of why it is saying that Capcom is not a recognized system.
I will add those lines from above to the ahk file.
I can't use mame because the roms that I have only work with capcom emulators. I tried using mame and it says that the roms are missing files.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.I'm not an expert when it comes to AHK scriptiong, but this part:

systemName = "FBA"

Tells me that the system name that it is looking for is FBA, not Capcom. You will need to either change the FBA to Capcom in the script and recompile it or rename your folders to FBA.

I think you missed my point. I understand your MAME roms may be diffrent for Finalburn. I was suggesting that you make the MAME ini changes I posted. This would in effect remove MAME and add support for FBA in its place.

HyperSpin Needs Several things to run a system correctly.
HyperSpin>DataBase>MAME.XML (this is the game list)
HyperSpin>Settings>MAME.INI (This is the setting for mame)
HyperSpin>MEDIA>MAME (This is where the wheel images go and other art)
Finally you need to edit.
HyperSpin>settings>Main Menu.xml to actually be able to have it on the list.

See how every thing is named the same.. EG MAME.

Since FinalBurn isnt an official supported emu there is no naming scheme. You called it CAPCOM. I called it FBA, Others can call it what ever they want but if it does not match EXACTLY to what I put in my script then it will not work...

That is why I used the MAME settings.. It works and everyone has it. I am not saying use MAME.. Im saying I tricked hyperspin to use FBA instead of MAME using the edited AHK script. So in effect choosing MAME would really be FBA..

Got it?!?

Any ways I did also post the changes needed to make FBA(Capcom) its own system. Im not sure if adding it your self is over your head... I may just add OFFICIAL SUPPORT for this emu by the end of this week (eg over the weekend)

In the mean time you can try it your self. Just look at how everything else is setup.

I assure you FBA does work with my method.

I must be doing something wroung. I downloaded your hyperlaunch.exe and put it in my HS dir. I then opened the ahk file with notepad and added this in the running system section

;*************************************Capcom****** *** *****************************

else if (systemName = "Capcom" && executable = "fba.exe")
{
hideDesktop()
Hotkey, %exitEmulatorKey%, CloseProcess
RunWait, %executable% "%romName%", %emuPath%, Hide UseErrorLevel
}

I'm still getting the same error when I try to run a game. It says "Capcom is an invalid system name or fba.exe is not supported yet."

I just got it working. It didn't now about autohotkey. I thought I just had to add that line to the ahk file and that was it. I didn't know I needed autohotkey to convert the ahk file to an hyperlaunc.exe.

Thanks for you help brian_hoffman and DAZZ.

so anyone have a full XML list for this yet? or a list of CPS3 roms?

EDIT:

I'm upping my XML - full CPS3 list & separate CPS2&3 fighting games list (23 games). I just pulled XML from my MAME 129u3 HS XML.

Let me know if I missed a game and I'll edit and re-up.

RE_EDIT:

added my main wheel logo (it's cheesy but I like it better than text)

Hi all

I've done everything as described, works well.

I would like to use FBA only for Neo Geo MVS Roms and not Mame.
Does FBA is now supported?

Kind regards
