Hey Brian,
I uploaded a few more versions to the ftp. There is a folder called IntroFLVs. There are 6 color variations in there:
Black, White, Yellow, Orange, Green, and Pink
I think thats enough colors for now unless someone wants something special (just PM me)
Thanks
Bill

Hey Brian
Give me a little more time. I just realized that I need to fade out the color background to black at the end. This way its a seamless jump from the intro to HS (which starts off with a black background). I will add a few more colors as well and will let you know when they are ready.
Thanks again!

Okay...I've uploaded 10 intro videos. The colors are:
Black
White
Pink
Green
Yellow
Red
Orange
Teal
Blue
Purple
Its in the IntroFLVs folder. Enjoy!

I think HS will fade to black for you , can you confirm?

You know what...I remember you saying you would code that in. I rendered out a flv without the fade and it works. I also ran one with the fade in that I did and it looks the same.

Sorry for my ignorance but is the video just a black background or am I supposed to see something? I know I installed it correctly but I'm just getting a black screen and HS does not start. If video is set to false in the settings HS starts up fine. Any help?

Hey, maybe there's a connection to the "black screen" bug. What are your pc specs urbecrish? Billy: Guesswork you're probably thinking about, but maybe a test build without any "intro video" code would be a good idea to test for the "other" issue.

Well HS works without intro video but when I select "true" for the video, I just get a blank screen :(
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
2.53 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
1280 Megabytes Installed Memory
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Display
Should be enough to run the video right?

Just wanted to make sure you guys followed Brian's instructions:
Install Notes:
Assuming HS in the the Root of the C: the video goes here..
C:\HyperSpin\Media\Frontend\Video
It needs to be named Intro.flv
Then navigate to
C:\HyperSpin\Settings\ and edit the Settings.INI
Edit this
[IntroVideo]
Use_Intro = true
Caps matter.. Use lowercase
You of course had to have downloaded the Intro.flv file separately as it was not part of the initial torrent release.

Yep, however I'm using an external HD so my path is actually F: That would'nt make a difference would it?
billpa

So its path is:
F:\HyperSpin\Media\Frontend\Video\Intro.FLV

Got it to work :) I forgot to name the folder FRONTEND and only named it VIDEO. Works now :)

I did the same thing at first. I thought when he wrote 'video' he meant the file. I can't wait to get home from vacation and install the new videos. I am curious to see how the blue looks.

Glad to see it works now. If anybody wants a custom color that I haven't done yet, just let me know.

Thanks for the video... added it, works nice... Only issue I see is that its not that HQ when I play it.... very decent, but not crystal clear... my res is 1280 x 1024
is it just my setup?
Thanks for video

Its set for 1024 x 768 so yes it will look a fuzzier at that rez. Isn't that a widescreen rez?
