Ok i have been on here for about a week now and got loads of stuff, thanx to a great FE, anyway after noticing that some people struggle with the XML editing we have created an editor which is just being tested and is almost complete, there has been a few bugs ironed out. I dunno if one of these has been done before..?
Anyway there's just one more thing that needs to be sorted and if all is ok and the admins don't mind i would like to upload it here once i have finally finnished testing.
Can i just say i have designed this but it's my 12 year old son that has made this in VB08.

Ok here's whats been done and some info:-
This does not create an XML automaticaly, this is for creating your own XML or editing as existing XML maybe adding or deleting games from the list. You can even update game information which you didn't know, So say you added a game and didn't know the year but later found that info out, you can load your XML into this then update any info you want.
Loading and XML already created is now working fine. (We had alot of problems with this at first)
Add a new game to an existing XML is now working fine.
Start a new XML is now working fine.
View XML Works Fine
We removed the Erase ALL as there was no need for this because of the Start a New XML does the same thing.
Update Game Now Works
Mame XML Support Added (Clone of)

Things that need to be fixed:-
Erase Selected
Dir To XML

To be added
Dir to XML (This is being worked on at the moment but could take a little time to get running correctly)

Features
Updating Other Game Details [80%]
Adding New Games to the list, and from scratch [100%]
Dir to Xml [10%]
Editable on Each Details [100%]
Viewing the current Xml [100%]
Loading up an Xml [100%]
Saving an Xml [100%]
Erase Selected [50%]

hey this is cool man, you really need to get in touch with Lashek (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/member.php?u=2970) - the creator of hyperion (http://hyperion.xeraweb.com/), and online XML database generator, and current pre-alpha release of hyperlist (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/group.php?groupid=4).

He has already put a LOT of work into what you appear to be doing - and simply because of time he is far ahead of you (not dissing your work) - but I know he would love your help, and having 2 people working on the same project is gonna be way more beneficial than 2 people on 2 similar projects. :)

In fact I'm sure he'll be popping into this thread any time now...

XD

HyperList is far from public use though, it's just core values (pulling data from Hyperion, reading local data, and generating a basic list atm)....

But awesome app, I have something similar planned for HyperList so that we can have one up-to-date central database :)

Thanks for the replies, there are a few little bugs still, but it is all going well.
Lashek i notice your app is using C#..? i'm not familiar with this, and my son is using VB08 for this app, but i do have C++ programming skills if it's needed...? i went to college for that, Maybe i could write this is C++ sometime and you could incorporate it into your app if needed, But it is just an editor and creator nothing is automatic in mine.

P.S. Mame Clone of has now been added.

Nice app. I would use this myself to "pick and choose" to add or remove a game at a time.

Yeah, my application is developed in C# :)

Since the cat is out of the bag about it though, attached is the "before" and "current" screenshots of the application. :)

Sorry to hijack the thread a little :X
