im going to be designing my minipin bartop cab soon...

i was wondering if anybody elese was doing so as well.

i will be using a 15`` lcd and a 23`` wide lcd and pinbal wizard controller.

roughly 41 `` long and 23`` wide.

i wouldnt mind sharing some designs before actually building it.

im trying to come up with the best way to attatch the controller to it.
i want use the entire controller, not just the guts

im thinking of mounting it to the pincab similiar to my hyperspin cab.

Yeah, I'm glad you announced this. My wife (wisely) won't let me buy a 40" LCD for a dedicated pinball machine, but she'll let me build a bartop one.

I've done the math and I think a 22" WS (16:9) and a 15" monitor (rotated 90) should share a 12" side - note that this is actual screen size, the trick is finding 2 monitors with equal width plastics on all sides...

I'm anxious to see the height needed to house a PC and pinball wizard to make it all work (maybe weight too)

keep up posted!

I'm no expert (probably won't ever be able to build one... I can't physically build ANYTHING... good with electronics and software, but not good with wood, metal or plastics.

Anyway -- couldn't you strip the LCDs from their casing and use only the LCD panels themselves for your build?

Check out the Dell monitors. Their models typically all look very similar and often have very small borders.

Cheers.

you could still do a mini pin cab. Mine and Brycej's use a 24' playfield lcd i have a 19' 4:3 BG and Bryce uses a 17. Here is the thread on Bryce's: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2749

I'll post one on mine when i finish moving.
