Here is a taste of what I have been working on. I have been very upset lately by some deaths in the family and found being creative has made things a whole lot better. So here is a video of it.

The devs acknowledged the shitty ending and are supposed to improve things with the upcoming DLC.

Damn nice vid, very nice theme too. Sorry to hear about your recent loss, real life can suck sometimes.

taht's cool launching xbmc from HS. I'm actually trying to do it the other way around, launch HS fromt he XBMC 'games' window.

I saw your old post a month ago I think about XBMC that's what made me take a look at it. I at first dismissed XBMC because I couldn't get it to work all the great with hyperspin by launching it from xmbc. But the other way around it works great. Hyperspin has been great with my haupauge TV tuner as well I record and do everything I want from it and can return back to hyperspin in a second. I feel that hyperspin is the best project I have seen because you can have it as a cab or a home theater / Gaming unit . The sky is the limit with this .

The other thing I am going to do is a video of how this is done with the pc games. It took me a while testing it and it just needs to be done. If i released this with out a how to it would clog the forums with questions. I will keep everyone posted.

I have a question on the DVD template. Can that be automated through Photoshop? Meaning I have alot of covers that I would like to put in the DVD template that you created and I was wondering if I can run a batch to auto do it for me or will I have to do every one by itself.

hi koolbrez, first of all, nice job.

2nd i have a big problem with this theme, when i select the windows theme, i get a weird wheel art, its green text and i can't select a game, the wheel is not moving.
i also have no background or other images, there's nothing.

p.s. sorry for the language, i hope you can read it.

Follow these directions to get started

1) Inside Hyperspin Folder Go to Data base folder and open it.

2) Open Main Menu Folder Edit Main Menu.xml I use XML Notepad to edit XML files. If you don't have an XML Editor here is a link to one

Add GamesForWindows to the list.

3) I Have folders that are numbered drop the items in the folders it tells you to.

4) Open HyperHQ 0.5.0.3.exe Click on Wheel settings and select GamesForWindows

Emulator Tab Settings should be this
Execution: Normal
PC Game Enabled
Rom Path: Select the PC Shortcuts folder I had you drop in your roms file.
Use Full Path to Roms: Enabled
Extensions: lnk
WinState Normal

Wheel Settings

Style: pin
Speed: Low
Position: Center

Pointer: X:956
Y:384
Only show themes has to always be disabled other wise your games won't launch trust me it is a wierd bug.

Alpha needs to be 0

5) Now for the tricky part. For every PC game you want to add you have to make a shortcut.Just right click on the PC Game and select Create Shortcut. Edit the shortcut name Example: Fallout.exe change it to Fallout.lnk

Then drop that shortcut into the PC Shortcuts folder. Remember if adding your own games you have to also add an entry into the Gamesforwindows Database xml file as well. Test and make sure the game works and can launch from hyperspin first before making themes.

6) Enjoy if you need some help hit me up on the forums or private message me.

You have to have an Xml file for the games . I bet you haven't made and shortcuts and dropped them in your PC shortcuts folder.

You clearly haven't done step 5 bro. I've had over 300 hundred downloads of this theme and I created the best directions. It must be a language barrier. Don't Answer back with tried to times tell us the steps you took so we can help you.

Polomaniac, you can download the Visual Studio express editions and get an xml editor. You could download the 2010 beta 2 now for free as well. Otherwise, google xml notepad and download that. Thanks koolbrez67 for the clear directions.

If you have other specific problems after making your shortcut launch folder, provide log files or snippets from them here so that helping you will be easier.

I means 1st already that you topic is certainly not bad, it can well be that I do something wrong.

I open the hyperspin folder and go to database and puts games for windows in main menu on the list.
all files of download I have placed in correct folders .
I open hyperhq and select Wheel settings and then I select games for windows.

this I have correctly put all
I have the game crazy taxi 3, i made a shortcut , game called ct3, so I made ct3.lnk
these shortcut put I in the map pc shortcuts.
then I go to database and put my game name on the list.
the problem is now, starts hyperspin - okay
I select games for windows and now i have a cool video with fallout etc.
then i press enter and now i have a black background with green text crazy taxi 3.
if I want to select another game from the wheel, the green text will stretch over my screen and disappears and I have a black background.

I hope that you can understand my explanation

Hmmm that is wierd did you download 0.8.0.1 - Update. ? And does the crazy taxi 3 launch from the shortcut on it's own.

yes it is launching on its own, and i downloaded 0.8.0.1
its seems that only i have problems with this one, must be me i think.

downloaded several themes and system themes, and everything is workin fine.
i realy dont know what this is, i'm driving crazy

Yeah, for some reason, when you put in that http address, the editor reduces it, but when you delete the http:// part, it works fine, go figure!

resolution should be set to 1024X768 on all of the emulators and pc games I bet it's launching but getting stuck because of the resolution.

Ive been following this and the only difference is that with VIsta i have:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games
Which is the built in games folder...and its all shortcuts.

looks like it is unable to find any games at the current filter that u applied?
i don't know what filter u are using exactly but i can see it's checking for some games with a filter turned on ?

( For example show only strategy,action games ) if u dont have any games inside strategy or action it wont display any of these kind of games because the filter is on strategy/action games only and u don't have any....

i'm using 1024 x 768 while in hyperspin but when i start a game it is taking the resolution i have entered in the main menu of the game ( 1400x900 )
when i close the game it is going back to hyperspin and it takes the old resolution back 1024 x 768 for fe hyperspin

I created some themes to my PC games. I'd follow all your instructions, but......at the PC games' page, the games' names are green, and the screen is black. I don't know what's happening. So, I need your help.

Continue - Black is the creen background. So, there's no background.

I made themes for Nintendo DS games, and they work fine. Only for PC games I'm having this problem.
