One thing that I been doing the last couple days and just finished it up is a program called hyperlaunch, this will provide more power to HS to give it a more arcade feel when playing games and will solve some of the users problems of games possibly not returning to HS. You can think of it as a super wrapper for all emulators (well at least the ones we have listed for our menu so far), but none the less it:

1. Negates the need for 3rd party wrappers
2. No need for special/hacked versions of emu's for escaping
3. Hides the mouse automatically before running any system with optional toggle
4. You have the ability to set your escape key or multiple escape keys for all emu's that dont like to be escaped
5. Built in freedo wrapper.
6. Built in daphne support ( so no more daphne bats ).
7. Zinc support via HS database to have real names show in HS but launch via this program, so no need for bat files here either.
8. Hides all command line windows when launching emu's.
9. Guarantees clean return to the fe when a game is done
10. Integrates well with HS, and theres room for alot more.

This will be an open script for people to edit to suit their needs if they like.
I've tried to simplify the script as much as I can to make it easy to read and there will be a main settings area at the top of the script kind of like an ini file where you guys can set your keyboard keys n'stuff.

I hope this will solve a couple peoples problems and also make it so HS has a much more seamless feel when playing your games.

I can say I checked it out and it is VERY clean and easy to read and edit. It really does do everything it says and is a MUST have for any FE user.. It is a great compilment to any cab owner that wants to make it less like a windows box.

Id recommed anyone to grab this loader... Its an Auto Hot Key script... So grab autohotkey.. and then grab PSpad... ( a great txt editor) NotePad just doesnt cut it.

But now all theoptions are endless. Multiple button esc combos... Wait for processes to end. Key remaping. The works.

Thanks Billy..

You guys NEED to check it out.

Sounds great, Hyperspin is just getting better every day. Will this also solve the problem with emulators that don’t take focus correctly? E.g. when launching future pinball tables, I have to click on the mouse on the table for it to take focus before it will accept me to add coins to play it.

You probably wont have to worry about that anymore with this launcher,

also it took some playing around but I finally got Sega Dreamcast nullDC to launch cleanly. Usually when you launch nullDC it will show a command line window and also the main window in windowed mode, then when the game launches it goes fullscreen, this is pretty ugly for our arcades so now hyperlaunch will hide all of that an just launch dreamcast clean.

a day, man I want it now

;)

thanks BBB this should be nice. I've never used autohotkey but I have used AutoIT(I believe they are similar in many aspects but of course different) and its amazing what can be done with it. I wrote a launcher for a guy over on the emucenter forums with it a while back, forgot all about it until now.
