Just a heads up...I fixed the name of the thread. Make sure you go month first, then day, then year.

Ok.. Clean up the logo... I love the idea..
For the astroids you could use google images. Not all graphics need to be taken from the actual games.. I think if you had better art to start with It would look alot better.
Again Id secondor third at this point on the video. make it larger ( You have all that open space..
Speaking of space... Its black... Add some more stars... Dont be afraid to experement.
Keep em coming and you will only improve...
My graphic skills are improving :)

I'll clean it up a bit later in the week. I've got some other things that I really need to work on unfortunately... Thanks for the tips (and keep more coming...)

:-)
Don't be so hard on this guy. His crayon skills are far superior to mine. And he's got more bandwidth than we'd know what to do with. well maybe not. Apparently he has a real job with real work to do...

Okay, I made some time to work on it today. It's much better (IMHO). I can't get the screenshot right when I want to (wanted to get it when the ship was blowing up.) I've also added Sinistar saying things to the background movie. Theme is at http://dowload.patsoffice.com/hyperspin/sinistar.zip for people to check out for feedback. The Flash project file is in the hyperspin directory (http://download.patsoffice.com/hyperspin) as well in case other people want to check it out.
As far as the comment of making the Circo movie bigger, I don't see how I can do that given that it's a vertical orientation game. But I do agree that it's small...
At this point, maybe I've moved on from a crayon to a sharpened crayon... :)

You could move the center pic to the left and the vid to the right to make it bigger, having the video small and tucked behind the controller like that doesnt look right. I like how you did the logo and background mostly even though from the screenshot they look low res.

Just a quick heads-up. Looks like I might have exposed a HyperSpin bug. When the theme starts, all input goes away. This means you cannot exit HyperSpin. So, if you're running in full-screen mode, you'll be kinda hosed. You have been warned.

Hmm, I'll check it out now, that might explain what someone else found earlier but couldnt reproduce.

Ya somethings up with this theme because when you navigate away from it the background is suppose to pause and its not pausing, I will work on this tonight.

Moved the movie and made it bigger. I also took out 2 of the samples from the background flv. Zip file has been updated on my server. If the feedback is good, I'll submit it.
And, yeah, I don't like the top logo, but that's the best artwork I've found (from the flyer -- and trust me, you don't want me to try and trace it in Illustrator... :) )

Even though you made this in flash 9 , check your publish settings and see if its publishing to flash 8 or below.

Yes this isnt really a flash9 movie which is why it messes HyperSpin up in alot of different ways. Im going to build in some more checking for this so in the future this theme wont even load up at all.

It was done in Flash 9. I saved it as a Flash 8 video (when it came to exporting, I selected "Flash Player 8" in the drop down menu.) Originally, I was saving it as a Flash 9 video (according to the drop down) and that was causing problems. I misunderstood what you typed earlier. Anyhow, this the Flash CS3 trial version for the Mac that I'm using.

Ok HyperSpin as of the next version no longer supports flash 8 and below movies so I cant approve this theme for now. It will have to be published for flash 9.
