So I have been working on this Cab since Sept 2008, and at its heart is the Hyperspin FE. Here are some pics of the Cab, http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3375/3554235926_17afe18d33_b.jpg the CP http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3416/3554234858_0c1fcb8fa2_b.jpg. Later I'll up some Y-Tube vids of it in action. Pretty much the only thing left is to wire up the marquee lights and clean up the underside CP wires.

Specs are: Original MVS Neo Geo 25" @slot Cab that was converted to a lame ass Special Forces Light Gun Game. I got it from a friend here in Germany that restores classic arcade games.

As much as possible is original.

The CP metal has been refinished and I did some custom work to get it to be smooth and shine (some liberty taken since original MVS Cabs don't have this).

The CP overlay is a Repro from ArcadeOverlays.com (Todd is da Bomb!)http://marketplaceadvisor.channeladvisor.com/hi/60/60416/10offpricing.jpg

The Controls are from Andy @ Ultimarc.com http://www.ultimarc.com/images/logo_final.gif
2 Mag Stick Plus's and buttons wired to a MiniPac encoder. Very easy to setup.

The starting point in September 2008: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3143/2833300832_cc000fcf60_b.jpg

It just looks BRAND NEW!

I would love an MVS Cab like this - is it a PC monitor or the original?

The Monitor is a Decased Hitachi Multisystem TV hooked up via Svideo. It is actually running in PAL-B spec but at 60hz. Which I know is not standard. When I run it in NTSC mode it doesn't look anywhere as good as the PAL-B mode from my Radeon 2600HD PCIE vid card.

So far it has been updated to run all of the Model2, Zinc, Game Gear, Naomi (still a WIP)..

I have all of the 3do images and the freedo emu runs great just not very well in HyperSpin.

You exclude them all, and only left the neo geo?

sorry for the slow response I was out of town.

I have full Mame, Nes, Snes, Game Gear, Genesis, Master System, Daphne, Atari 2600, Misfit Mame, Neo Geo MVS, Nintendo 64, 32X, Naomi (some of the games not all yet).

These are setup, I just took a ton of pics of it on the MVS Neo Geo theme page since I post pics on NeoGeo.com. They were an incredible help in making the cab what it is.

Hopefully I will have word on what the next project will be.

Looks great, just like a brand new MVS!...Always loved the look of those cabs. One thing I noticed was that I could see your arcade monitors mounting kit through the glass...you need to get an arcade monitor bezel for that baby!....thats all its missing and it would be OFFICIAL!

great job

Thank you Dark! I was definitely going for the authentic look. Once I build a proper Mame cab I'll restore this to a real MVS two slot or four slot Neo Geo.

But my next project is my graduation present from my in-laws. I'll post pics when I get home from Wolfsburg (family visit trip).

Oh, goodness! This is AWESOME! SNK Forever!! They made some of the best games available way back in its day, and Even now, they are more playable than ever! I'm gonna go play that Red Cab of Greatness at my local bowling alley as soon as I get the chance!

great cab.

man, how cool would it be to rig up a new geo cab with hyperspin 2.0 with a small monitor in the marquee that displayed the marquee card art as you scrolled through.. not one of those big monitors like in the demo, but a small lcd.. hmmm
