Well, I think its a great first try.. We are missing a logo and I understand that finding Images may be tough for this game.. The video could stand to be larger.. There is tons of open space. Id also add an overlay. Id think about maybe a desert backround. The charcters could be touched up and seem rough around the edges. You will get better with more practise.
Thank you very much for contributing to the project and we look forward to more submissions.

I agree with Brian. You definitely need a logo. The images look a little rough but that might just be the compression of the screenshot. Try to get everything a littler bigger and overlapping. Good first work though.
FYI, I changed the title of your thread to follow the naming convention we use for Announcements. If you have any questions about how it works, the sticky in this forum explains it all.
Thanks again,
billpa

Love the backround... Logo could still be larger. And a video overlay would add alot..
I love the backround also... All and all its shaping up very nice.
Good job!

What do you mean video overlay is that just a border around the video or some artwork? And thanks for all the help!

yea thats what it is. you can create it in photoshop. Basically, figure out how big your video is...refer to what you size it down in the xml or if you are using a screen shot as a placeholder, check image size in photoshop...make sure its 4:3 ratio. Then, when you create your overlay, you want to make sure that there is a transparent area the size of your video. I tend to go a little smaller (like ten pixels or so) so that it overlaps the video a bit and you dont see a space.
For example, you could use those wanted posters as a frame for your video. They would probably need to be scaled down a bit. Then you would have more real estate up top to make the logo bigger. Another example would be to make a wanted poster overlay....ie, take a look at one of the posters and see if you cut out the photo and then the video would reside in there. That would be pretty cool.
If you need help on the first one, let me know. I can probably whip something together for you. Another thing to do is check out other video overlays in HS. Just go to the Video folder in MAME/Media and open up any PNG images in there. That is where your video and overlay are stored.
Good luck!

If you give me a chance I can trace out that logo for you in illustrator so its higher quality. Looks like a real simple one to do.

Looks much improved from your first screenshot! Are you still waiting on that larger logo? I noticed that there isn't one in the zip you submitted.

Theme looks good but I'm not sure if I should approve or not as I beleive the logo hasn't been updated.
