PC Engine Box Art

I spent a good 20+ hrs working on this so be gentle.

I've upload to the ftp.

I had to do some touch-up work on about 40 or so of these and all I have on my LT is F'n paint so I think it looks pretty amazing all things considered. I'll say one thing for the Japanese, they have some wild cover art.

4 games on the XML are not really full games but display playable demos so there is no cover art for them. I put these in a separate folder w/ some hu-card scans if you want to use them.

Lastly, if anyone wants to attempt to restore some of these (esp. the ones I did) I have the originals and I can send them ftp/mega *cough* starcontroll *cough* just PM if if you want them.

thanks, im off to bed, my wife is kind of pissed that I've been spending so much time on this. My response, "I have a hobby, you should get one too"; not the smartest thing I've ever said.

My wife didn't have a hobby until we got a kid. Now I have to fight her to use Photoshop on the big screen Mac. (I mostly lose that fight and do most of my work on a PC without a graphics tablet or a big screen.) She loves retouching pictures of her son and making photo albums.

fortunately my wife understands that since we moved to PHX I lost all my watersports, so the time that I would normally be spending in the water is now spent making these damned 3d boxes :)

she still comes first though, most of my work is done while we're watching a movie.

just so everyone knows I'm attempting a cleanup of these. I've had a nice little tutorial from starcontrol. ill upload a preview soon then re-release when i'm done. I think I'll start of the wheel images for pce next. If anyone has already started please let me know.

I looked at OnlyIsrael's before and afters, and he had some difficult watermarking to deal with. Far worse than moby's, and affecting almost every image. It is amazing what he did with Paint. I didn't know you could do that much with Paint. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with Photoshop!

Laurie's Photoshopping is generally done during Max's naptime or after he goes to bed.

Ok, I'm done re-touching the PCE box art (hopefully). Attached are a couple examples of what I did. Next the wheel art and 3D boxes, if someone wants to make a template. Please enjoy. I'm uploading to the FTP and I'll do a mega in a while.
