Hi,
Can someone help me understand what AutoHotKey is for Hypespin?
I cannot seem to find any details abount it on the sub forum AutoHotKey Scripting....
Is it something that I can use to provide full joystick support for Hyperspin in the short term before the nest release of Hyperspin?
Thanks in advance for any reply

AutoHotKey is a program used to compile HyperLaunch.ahk into HyperLaunch.exe, it's a "macro" program (sorta).
It lets you redefine keyboard keys to send a different key to the emulator. IE: If I wanted to, I could make my left shift act as pressing "E" inside the emulator. This is especially useful for people using X-Arcade, etc.
It is also used to add new emulators to HyperLaunch to further extend the scope of HyperSpin's abilities (IE: Mounting a CD on Daemon Tools, then launching an emulator to auto-read the cd, then unmounting on exit)

It's like macros on steroids, macroids.
autohotkey.com download there and documentation, but as far as joystick support goes - I was under the impression that HS already did support joys, it was the individual emulators that may or may not//
if they're not then yes you can use a fake j2k to get them working lke this:
joy1::Enter
joy2::Space
joy3::5
etc...

Na not really fully yet. I only added analog joystick support so people can use the u360, but I didnt had anything yet for joy buttons or pov hat control.

I hope you get the full joystick support in before I finish my cab. HS has gotten me really side tracked with game art, so it's been months since I worked on it, but I am hoping to get back to it sometime this year. You know that for all the hours I put into Hyperspin setup I can't really play any of the games until I get the cab built and the joysticks hooked up and HS can read the joysticks and joystick buttons. It's going to have almost every controller under the sun, so the more support the better. The only controllers I don't already have are the big stand up ones like Alpine Racer skis or DDR pads or Prop Cycle's pedals. I do have both the U360's and the GPWiz49's and an assortment of driving wheels and a Star Wars yoke

In the mean time some users have been using xpadder at startup of HyperSpin to send keystrokes from their joypads.

Thank guy's for the update,
I look forward to whenever the fuly joystick support update comes to Hyperspin.
BTW, last I heard the development on Hyperspin was paused for Hyperpin. Is that still the case? If not, is it possible for the dev team to provide an WIP update on the development of Hyperspin. Its always good to know what is being planned for the next release and to understand how the development is progressing.
Thanks,
Dariusz

BadBoyBill is the dev team, the rest of us just drool at his skills :drool:
hey BBB how about some potentiometer support :P
that way when I wanna play me some metal slug and dont wanna wait I can slam real hard on the analogue stick / yoke / gas pedal and get there in a hurry :P
I kid, I kid, (though different wheel speeds could be fun)
