Here is what it will look like, I thought I would be done by friday but my time schedule has changed since getting back from vacation. My little girl is starting Preschool and I will be taking her. So Weekends will be when I get a lot done. So We still can get all the 3d Box art done by the end of summer. I will be working on a different schedule.
Sample Work for 3DO I was going to use Mildanti's template but instead made my own. Here is what it looks like.
24002401
24022403
24042406
2405
So I will maybe have these and the 5200 boxart done by monday.

I just seem to be confused by this console - I don't under stand where the r.e.a.l. came from - as this console was the 'Panasonic 3DO', with later releases by sanyo.
where does teh 'real' come from? - especially since it wasn't really on the retail boxes?
*edit* guess I should do soem reading:
The original edition of the console, the FZ-1, was referred to in full as the 3DO REAL Interactive Multiplayer
but still teh 'real' wasn't on all the boxes I don't think...

It wasn't on the box because the REAL specified on the Panasonic version while the games were "platform neutral" since there were a couple of different hardware manufacturers. In Canada (and the US?), the boxes were a bit different too.
However, artistic license is quite ok, the boxes look very cool as is. If however, anyone wants pics of real boxes, I think I have a dozen or so 3DO games here.

I was part of the first wave of 3DO games released by EA back then . It was trip hopkins baby at the time. Til they licensed out the crap out of the console . Panasonic was the R.E.A.L Deal So I Went with that look. It was the best system out of the bunch. If everyone hasn't figured it out yet my boxes that I have been working on are close but not the real ones. Why because the real ones are all different sizes and have no standards. That is why the people working on the 2D box art are restoring to what they really looked like. Mine have edge and look good. So I want them to look professional and try and keep them very close to the real thing. I really didn't plane to have it this way but I needed to break thru walls and re think how to find the box art if only really shitty ones where aviaible . So I looked at differnt ports and found as close as I could get to the real deal. During this time frame not really hard to do. Besides if someone tries playing off that this is there work I know different . Because it is our style HS. Well HS has Really 2 styles Historical and Edge 3D Boxes

A lot of the cases were "snapper" cases, note the dark bar on the side. There wasn't one set standard, I think some games may have been sold in jewel cases too! (I might have a few). That's why I say "artistic license". There was no "REAL" but the artist here is impressing on everyone how much the REAL player was marked as THE player.
Like I said, this is a form of art and artistic license is cool with me and I think with many others. To each is own, one could always adjust the box art to suit their needs if it bugs one so much, right?
boy, checking out all these box art makes me want to boot up some of these games. Best version of NFS right on that system. And Star Control II? in the top 25 best game ever! :)

no, I wasn't criticizing the boxes - I was just wondering where the 'REAL' came from, seeing that the full console title was the "REAL 3DO" it makes sense to me.
the boxes are awesome.
