I don't know what could possibly be going wrong. psxfin runs perfectly fine outside of hyperspin, but the second I try to run it through hyperspin it doesn't work. No matter what game I select, the screen just goes black and then flashes a bunch. And when I press exit it goes back to hyperspin and says hyperspin is not responding.
How can I fix this?!
Can you post your hyperspin log after this happens? Also is your sound also stuttering when this happens? Try turning off vsync within psxfin OUTSIDE of hyperspin then try running it, this is one of the main things I see cause issues with psxfin and hyperspin. Make sure you turn off both vsync options (there are two, I believe on the same page in the psxfin configuration.

Well, I can see the BIOS of the psx every few times the screen flickers and I hear the sound of the BIOS too. I tried turning both vsync options off, but nothing happened. I thought that would fix it too.
I think it can't run because Hyperspin is in the background. My PC has dual monitors and I set psxfin to use the second one, while Hyperspin uses the 1st. And it worked! I just can't figure out how to get it to run in the same screen!

This is usually due to resolution of the emulator not matching the resolution of HyperSpin. I would double check and ensure both are set to the same resolution.

yup sounds like you have either your desktop running at 59hz and the emulator running at 60hz or vice-versa

"C:\HyperSpinFinal\Emulators\Playstation\psxfin.ex e" -f "C:\HyperSpinFinal\Emulators\Playstation\roms\ Ape Escape [SCUS-94423].bin"
look at this
psxfin.ex e
this must be
psxfin.exe
